And here comes the end to Kyle's run on X-Men. Shame too because this was pretty entertaining stuff.

The final arc includes Magick and honestly, never been a huge fan of her. However, the devil comes out to play and he's kind of pissed off. He wants her back and these poor X-Men kids have to go through hell (no pun intended) to survive. Half the group is split up and that makes for some very screwed up deaths, fights, and mayham. The last two issues are basically a closing chapter, a goodbye to a lot of characters, and also the prologue to these kids entering Massiah Complex event (which already reviewed and it was awesome!)

Good: I really enjoy this art. Very cartoony but it works so well. The characters all get a chance to shine here, and it's about the whole team which was nice, and of course in bloody fashion we have some screwed up deaths. I also thought the closing chapters were bitter sweet since what comes next is not too nice.

Bad: I thought it was a little heavy on the action. I could have used a few more somber moments or funny moments with the kids and of course with the series getting canned it feels a bit rushed.

Overall this was really fun run. It had great moments throughout, mostly good, never really terrible, and that's all you can ask for. A 3.5 out of 5.

So after reviewing each volume individually I just wanted to place this all in one review here for the series.

This is a darker X-Men series than you might expect. These kids go through hell and almost die, some do, in very screwed up ways. It shows hate crime in all it's bloody ways, and it shows how hopeless the world can feel sometimes. With a large cast of kids Craig is able to give a good showcase for almost everyone. Some get some deep backstory that was needed to flush out the characters and by the end it feels like a complete team. Sadly cut short by being canned it feels rushed at the end and also there's some edgy/dark moments that feel a little too much. Still, if you haven't read this, I do highly suggest atleast giving it a whirl. It's a easy 3.5 out of 5 but I'll push it to a 4 because it's something different than most X-Men series.

Hopefully one day we get a similar series like this!

So on the quest to find a Iron Man comic I'll love. Did Matt Fraction's critically acclaimed series do it for me? No.

Saying that though this is still pretty fun. So Tony is trying his best to run Shield (This right before he loses all control) while also dealing with his past sins (because those never go away after being a arms dealer who indirectly killed hundreds). In doing so we have a old face, well kind of, a son of a old villain who decides to use Stark's tech to kill a lot of people. In this, Stark must fight back, but not in combat. Well, kind of combat. But a lot of smarts.

Good: Tony's ideas and plans are different than most heroes but it works well. I really liked the art, some shots are fantastic. I also really enjoyed Pepper's relationship with Tony here, it's both sweet and interesting.

Bad: The storyline and villain can be overstuffed and little long. I got bored at the baddies motivation and monologues.

Overall this is a fun Iron Man story but I've read a lot of that. I thought Bendis run was fun too even if short. So still on the search for amazing but this isn't bad. I'll read a few more volumes! A 3 out of 5.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers CONTINUES to be damn good. I can't believe it. This is one of my favorite surprises ever.

Kyle Higgins has taken the campy and silly feel out of his Go Go Power rangers but instead of going dark or gritty he sticks with a fun and adventurous Power Ranger storyline with big stakes. We now get thrown into a future that has gone to hell. Who is the main enemy? Well that be a huge spoiler. Then have the final fight between the dark ranger, and it's pretty great. Some excellent side moments for characters to grow here too. Oh yeah, and a crappy one shot silly story at the end. However the main storyline Kyle delivers the goods, moves the story forward, and gives us realistic rangers with the funness of the series but without the campy part. A 4 out of 5.

This was pretty damn boring.

So the start was interesting. The X-Men move to San Fransisco and the storylines begin to play against sexual hate crimes against homosexuality. On top of that we have Cyclops not being a little bitch anymore and also dealing with using the X-Force behind everyone's back. Oh and get some more Peter storyline because...well who the fuck asked for this?

Good: I liked the start. The storyline had a upbeat feel and fresh. I also thought them depiciting the hate crimes of beatings that sadly gay people go through was tough to watch but faithful. I liked a lot of that in the first few issues and then...

Bad: The rest of this book seems aimless. Characters go nowhere, neither does the story. I hated all the storyline with Peter, was dumb as hell. Our ice queen seems like a baby here. I thought the sulking around more than usual by the end was bad. The dark reign storyline in the middle of it messed up the little flow it had.

Overall this started off interesting but fell quickly down. A 2 out of 5.

Wow this was...awful.

I'm always ready to try new takes on characters. This actually would be a older one since this is the "Max" series for Cage before he became what he is today. Sorry, this is not what I expected. I get hood talk, I'm from Brooklyn, but this is horrendous and over the top dialog makes me cringe at so many moments. The storyline is so basic it hurts. It's basically just Cage going around finding out why a little girl was murdered but without any interesting moments or characters. This leads to a few issues of him walking around a few blocks.

Good: Nothing.

Bad: Everything. The dialog is cringe worthy, the storyline is bland and done a million times before, cage is wayyyyy to over the top, and that ending? Ugh.

Overall, not worth checking out at all. In fact, act like this was never made. It'll make your day better. A 1 out of 5.

So to shake things up we actually have a near bearer of the Witchblade!

So with Sara getting along in her pregnancy she decides to give the Witchblade to a young girl named Dani. In doing so it frees up time for her to enjoy her time with Gleason. So we get a few issues of just Dani working with the Witchblade to help some dead people after horrible events. We also get a team up with the old witchblade user and the new that's pretty good.

Good: The art changes a ton but luckily it's mostly good throughout. Some are downright amazing while others do the job. The new character, Dani, started off annoying but gets better as it goes. I also enjoyed the ending as it leaves off with some new ideas.

Bad: Little too many cameos of old characters that I had no clue who they were. I also thought Sara giving up the witchblade so quick was odd. The fight scenes are getting better but still lacking.

Overall a solid volume, not amazing, but good, and a new direction that might work in the series favor. A 3.5 out of 5.

Didn't like this at all...

No Justice is...well no fun.

I want to love this. A HUGE cast of characters are all brought in by Brainiac as he tells him trouble is coming. Something bigger than they ever faced. So he splits them into teams that he believes will work best together to take these god like destroyers down. From there we have a bunch of groups of Justice League working together to stop the destroyers. So...basically Metal 2.0.

Good: I enjoy the art a lot for the most part. Some great shots and cool fighting moments. I also thought Damien was pretty great here.

Bad: It felt really convoluted, heavy exposition once again, and just a messy event like comic. Sure, way shorter and more condensed then Metal but just as confusing at times. The ending didn't get me very excited.

So yeah, another small event that didn't work for me. Just like Metal this one didn't do much for me. A 2 out of 5.

So what happens when the Green Goblin is running the world? Well, you go on the run because shittttt he's after ya!

This starts off after the events of "Dark Reign" which means Osborn is running shit. He's disassembled SHIELD and is going after Stark. Of course Tony doesn't take chances and all the files on each superhero from the Civil war files is now stored inside, yep you guessed it, his fucking BRAIN. So what does he do? He goes on the run from Osborn but the goblin doesn't give up that easily. He sends as many people as need be to hunt down the billionaire.

Good: The art remains good. Some amazing fight scenes shown on display here. I also enjoyed Tony's self sacrificing moments. Even doing so he tricks people but in a way he's doing it to protect them. He remains who he is. I also loved Pepper's moments here.

Bad: The stuff with Hill in the 2nd half is really odd and not very interesting tbh. I also thought the namor stuff felt pushed in just because, well, he is under water!

Overall a fun ride but nothing spectacular. I can't put my finger on it but this series lacks a little something. Either way I'll finish up the Most Wanted storyline and probably stop unless that volume blows me away. This is a 3 out of 5.
