DNF.
Roxy owns a bar and has gotten away from her abusive father. The Vipers are a mafia and are bad news. Roxy is sold by her father to the Vipers and they can do whatever they want to her.
Okay, I had to dnf this because I didn’t want to torture myself for 600 pages. I hated the view points of the men. They kept thinking in rapey thoughts. They are abusive. Also, they kept thinking about everything so was hot. I can just predict that Roxy would get Stockholm syndrome and fall in love with the men, which would then turn into a toxic relationship. I just didn’t feel comfortable reading this. I did like the tone of Roxy. I really don’t suggest this book.

Ana is wanting to take her throne. She is the only living member of the Royal line. She has no title, no army, nothing. She partners with Ramson again to help her take back what is hers. However, they must face danger.
I feel like I liked this more than Blood Heir. I was a little bored at times though. I liked the betrayals, secrets, political intrigue, and action. Ana is a great character and I can’t wait to see what is in store with her.

Nikki lives in London and is a law school drop out. Her family is strapped for money, so she takes over teaching a creative writing class. The Punjabi community is a tight knit community. When the widows show up for class, they don’t know how to read or write. Nikki tries to teach them how read and write, but the class turns into the women telling erotic stories and delving into their fantasies.
I liked the friendship in the story. The widows were hilarious. I found myself cracking up a lot when I was on my walk with Riot listening to this book. Hopefully people didn’t think I was some crazy lady. Anyway, I felt like the romance was just okay in this book. Also, the part with Mia and the killer was drawn out and I felt like it took away from the story.

Daunis is an eighteen year old who is about to go to college. She believes bad things happens in threes. First, her uncle dies, then her grandmother suffers a stroke, so what would the third thing be? She plans to keep a close eye on life. She is half white and half Native American. Most of the time she feels like an outsider that wants to embrace her culture. One night, she and the new guy witness a murder and this leads Daunis to start working with the FBI to read protect her community.
I loved this book so much. This definitely will be a favorite this year and one of my all time favorite standalone books. First of all, based off the cover I thought this book was fantasy, but I was really wrong. This is more contemporary and a thriller, which is fine because I like them. This book does have triggers such as drug use and rape. This book is definitely heavy with the themes. We have grief in it and I liked how it motivated Daunis. I loved the culture and just found this book amazing. The romance was nice too. This book will stick with me for a long time.

Kristen and Josh get into a fender bender with one another. After that happens, she goes over to her friends house to help with the wedding and runs into Josh again. From there a friendship is born, but both are attracted to one another. The problem is, Kristen has a boyfriend who is enlisted in the military and should be coming home soon. Will she stay with him or be with Josh?
First of all, I really liked that Kristen had problems with her periods and could possibly have infertility. I liked that Josh did not shy away from anything period related. I liked that there was no cheating and that there was a healthy way for the romance to actually happen. I didn’t like that the road block was that Kristen felt like she couldn’t be with Josh because he wanted kids and she couldn’t. She would be very stubborn and it was irritating. Overall I really enjoyed the book and I so want to give a warning that this book has some heavy tones towards the ending.

This is a sequel to King of Scars. Without going to much into it to go into spoilers, this book is about war. An enemy is back and how can they stop them?
I liked the cameos of all the characters from the other two series. I loved that couples got to together. I did feel like this book was rushed and not much time was spent on certain things that happened. I felt disappointed in how this was carried out.

Alix Chamberlin gets what she wants is privileged. She wants a babysitter for her oldest daughter who is 3 years old while she takes care of her baby and works. She hires Emira, who is a young African American woman. Emira is at a store one night and is accused of stealing Briar.
This book is really about race and privilege. I really liked both narratives and the betrayal. I loved Briar. This book was really well done

Piper comes from a rich family, so she has no care in the world. At twenty-eight the only things she has accomplished is how to party and take selfies. She is a socialite and attends a ton of parties. Her longest relationship has been three weeks. When her boyfriend breaks up with her at a party, Piper feels humiliated and gets the idea to break into a hotel to have a party. The party gets out of control and Piper is arrested. Her stepfather is very disappointed in her and exiles her to a small beach town in the Pacific Northwest. Her and her sister go for three months since their biological dad who passed away when they were young owned a bar that was left to them. While there, Piper meets Braden, a hot fisherman who she butts heads with. Will sparks fly?
I really loved the character growth of both Braden and Piper. They both had some major flaws and with one another they were learned to be over come. This book was a fast read and was just so good and cute. Also, this book is spicy as heck. I loved the town and the people in it. This book was great, you have to pick it up.

Julie has been gone for eight years and comes back to Atlanta, but is wearing a different face and scent. She has a different name-Aurelia. She is there to investigate the deaths and stay away from her family so they don’t die.
The premise seems amazing. I haven’t read the other books to other series, so maybe that’s why I struggled with this book. I found it hard to follow and knowing what is happen. I couldn’t connect with the characters and just couldn’t get into it.

“Welcome to New York, it’s been waiting for you!”Okay, I’m done singing Taylor Swift, now onto the review. Vivian has just been kicked out of college in the 1940’s and her parents are disappointed in her. At the age of nineteen, she is shipped off to New York to live with her Aunt Peg. There she is introduced to the theater scene and is sewing costumes for them. She is introduced to booze, sex, and the city life. Will it all come back and bite her in the butt with a scandal?
This book follows the life of Vivian and how she knows Angela’s father. I picked this up because the storyline kind of reminded me of The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. So, I had to read it. I really enjoyed it and enjoyed seeing how Vivian’s life played out. It did have a lot of sex in it, but it was just Vivian exploring her sexuality. I did feel like this book was longer than it should have been.
