Erotic Stories for Punjabi Widows
by Balli Kaur Jaswal
Nikki lives in London and is a law school drop out. Her family is strapped for money, so she takes over teaching a creative writing class. The Punjabi community is a tight knit community. When the widows show up for class, they don’t know how to read or write. Nikki tries to teach them how read and write, but the class turns into the women telling erotic stories and delving into their fantasies.
I liked the friendship in the story. The widows were hilarious. I found myself cracking up a lot when I was on my walk with Riot listening to this book. Hopefully people didn’t think I was some crazy lady. Anyway, I felt like the romance was just okay in this book. Also, the part with Mia and the killer was drawn out and I felt like it took away from the story.
