The Friend Zone
by Abby Jimenez
Kristen and Josh get into a fender bender with one another. After that happens, she goes over to her friends house to help with the wedding and runs into Josh again. From there a friendship is born, but both are attracted to one another. The problem is, Kristen has a boyfriend who is enlisted in the military and should be coming home soon. Will she stay with him or be with Josh?
First of all, I really liked that Kristen had problems with her periods and could possibly have infertility. I liked that Josh did not shy away from anything period related. I liked that there was no cheating and that there was a healthy way for the romance to actually happen. I didn’t like that the road block was that Kristen felt like she couldn’t be with Josh because he wanted kids and she couldn’t. She would be very stubborn and it was irritating. Overall I really enjoyed the book and I so want to give a warning that this book has some heavy tones towards the ending.
