A really good historical novel. I love female spies. It's sad that men thought that women couldn't be underhanded and devious (especially back then), but it sure helped a lot in WW2.
Anna is recruited by a friend of her fathers to join the OSS as a secretary. But she longs for more. She is recruited for a mission and she likes the sense of accomplishment she feels.
She becomes a very good member of the organization and gets some very pertinent information that gives to the liberation of France.
She gets to have 2 great loves. One darker ends in tragedy.
I live the inclusion of real life people in here: Julia Child, John Wayne (who wants to join to OSS but it's rejected because they think he'd be recognizable even overseas).
Historical fiction fans should definitely check this out!

This is a scary read for me in the way that my oldest is almost these kids age and the things they go through in the book, I'm not ready for!
These kids have social media galore at their fingertips and though they are closely monitoted by their parents (apps turned off at certain times, getting to read through messages at will)... Kids are smart and find their way around their parents protections.

There are a lot of people in this book and it took me most of the book to get them all straight. What kids belonged to what parents and such. Alice is at the center POV and she is feeling with a lie. Trying to do well at her job while her lawyer husband is away and having to deal with her kid turned bully? Plus, she just found out her adoptive mom is in touch with her biological daughter and Alice starts kind of acting like a teen herself.

I was bored for the first penalty 60% of this book and all quit... It did pick up a bit but I didn't love this one. It was just ok for me.

Claire follows Jack to his family home on the Isle Isola on the Italian Coast. Right away, there is someone out there that wants to sabotage this wedding. Bones found on the property, a wedding dress ruined by blood, and in addition to this- a huge storm keeping all on the island with no escape.

I absolutely loved this thrill ride! I was enthralled by the main characters Claire and Jack. You couldn't help but feel that they were both hiding some big secrets and you'd be right. But you also strangely root for them, even when secrets start coming out and someone from the past is found to not be as gone as seemed.

This book is about twins Eve and Zara. Eve has gotten addicted to drugs. Zara is newly married. She finds out she has a genetic disease. Then she finds out the state has custody of her sister's two kids and needs Zara to take them in to foster care. We also get to see the life of Tiff, who helps woman out on the streets with food and shelter and hours she might find out what happened to her own daughter.

This was a very hard look at addiction but also intertwines faith into the narrative. I loved getting to know a bit more about Eve and her thinking through journal entries throughout the book. She knows she needs to get clean for her kids but she really needs to go out for herself. To show herself she's capable of being a good mom and doing right by her kids.

This was adorable! What could be better than falling in love with your best friend?
Millie has a great set of guy friends who all work together. They have such fun and when a big black tie event will be happening... They all decide to join a dating site to find someone to bring.
Millie gets all the scum men coming out of the woodwork. She then creates another profile with an alter ego... One who tells a bit more than Milie does in real life. When she matches 98 % with her best friend Reid.... What will she do?

I laughed at this one a lot. I love all the guys and their personalities. I love the group dynamic they all have.
I often feel better talking about myself online and come across better online than I do in real life, just like Millie. I love how the first friend finds out that Millie and Reid have a secret

Fantastic start to a family drama with heart. We follow siblings Olivia, Lucas, and Lily. They had a good enough childhood (though their dad clearly favors Olivia and doesn't Lily..
. Also secrets both parents hold), but the best part was summers spent at a lake house of friends. There Olivia falls in love with Blaze.

One day, Josh arrives on Olivia's doorstep. She's his nephew and his mom, Lily, is missing. But Josh suffers from a brain injury and can't explain anything about where his mom might be.

Oh my, I just felt so much love for Josh! He's such a sweet boy. He may not have the words to share his story, but as time goes by and Olivia has the patience to learn how he feels within his world.... It's just heartwarming.

This is a story you don't want to miss and it will be a wonderful trilogy of these siblings!

I was so excited for this book as I loved his first two. This just fell flat and I was bored throughout. We have a girl with DID or multiple personality disorder. She has murdered her birth mother, but which she is the question. She is put in a mental institution while awaiting trial. Her adoptive mother feels Penny didn't commit this cringe but one of her alters did.

The part of the book I really liked and I wish we had more chapters of was her brother Ryan doing a documentary film about his sister for a college class

I'm not sure if I count this as second chance love because can it be a second chance when he only hears a voice and not meet the girl until many years later?

Will and Nora. It's so fun. Will inherits and plans to sell his uncle's apartment building. Nora doesn't like this plan as she spent summers here with her Nonna and note lives here too. So she hatches some plans along with other tenants to try and convince Will to not sell.

It's a cute love story. I love that there isn't this huge misunderstanding between the two that tear them apart for a long time. I love all the nosy tenants of the building. This is just an adorable book and I think romance fans will like it a lot.

I just love Myron and Win! They are such fun guys. This was a very good book and one I flew through. But Myron DOESN'T drink Yoo-hoo anymore?! No way!

I admit, I haven't just loved every book of Myron Bolitars. Some I could have done without... But this one, this one is what I love from Coben.

A fast paced mystery. Two boys having been missing for 10 years and one shows up in an unexpected place. Bringing Win back from "hiding" as one of the boys is related to him. A big trangled web where all isn't what it seems. Where is the second boy and what happened to them the years they were missing?

What a great psychological thriller.
Daphne, as she thinks she is, wakes up naked and in the woods, not sure how she got there or who she really is. She runs into Silas at a dock. Silas is deaf but can read lips. They have an instant connection and feel they were destined to meet, but they don't know how they are connected. Silas's brother Max is a cop and is very suspicious of Daphne.

As she slowly starts getting some of her memory back, but can't share that with Silas or his cop brother until she known more. Silas id holding onto a secret too.

I liked the two together and them trying to figure everything out. It ends up being really complicated and not tied up at the end so you know there is more to come!
