I was so excited for this book as I loved his first two. This just fell flat and I was bored throughout. We have a girl with DID or multiple personality disorder. She has murdered her birth mother, but which she is the question. She is put in a mental institution while awaiting trial. Her adoptive mother feels Penny didn't commit this cringe but one of her alters did.

The part of the book I really liked and I wish we had more chapters of was her brother Ryan doing a documentary film about his sister for a college class
