The ending half was so unputdownable!
Jill is finally a senior and a Player. She should be having the time of her life. The players pretty much rule the school. They have the best lunch table, the best parties, the best grades, and get into the best colleges. But it all comes at a price. One of those things missing is Jill's best friend Shaila...She was killed by her boyfriend, Graham, freshman year.
This is another book where I was so mad at (most) of the adults. Those in authority know what goes on with the Players and yet.... Not one adult would do a thing about it.
I liked Jill a lot. Yes, she goes along with the crap Players go and have had to go through...
But she really steps up when it's time to. She gets a text that steers her in another direction to find out the truth.... Because Graham is now trying to prove his innocence with help.
If you love a good YA Mystery, pick up this book!

Saffyre is a girl that had a terrible thing happen at the age of 10. She goes to a child psychologist (Roan) for years and when he thinks she doesn't need him anymore, he stops their sessions. She feels invisible and feels she needs him more, so she starts stalking him and his family.
She learns some secrets and then disappears. No one know what happened and Owen, a professor that has been fired for sexual misconduct, comes in the crosshairs of the police. He swears he didn't do anything to her, but can't exactly remember. But can an invisible girl bring out the truth?
This book was kind of a slow burn and really dug into the "you don't really know a person" and those that seem good aren't always.

This was a fun look into her life with Jeffrey Dean Morgan. I didn't know they were together for so long before getting married.
I think she thrives so much more as a farmer. She's tough and that takes a tough personality I think.
I don't know what else to say but I loved very on One Tree Hill and it was fun getting to know her more!

I'm not sure what I can say that hasn't already been said and probably said better!
I listened to this as an audiobook. It was long but so good and well read.
I often listened closing my eyes so I could take it all in without distractions.
Starr sees her friend Kahlil senselessly killed in front of her. She knows what she saw and her story never changes, she just takes awhile to get that info into the right hands. When she does, she become more vocal and her community rallies around her.
In a way, I'm so glad I waited to read it until this point in time. Seeing Black Lives Matter movements becoming more publicized and hearing stories similar to this from those in the Black community, made me appreciate it more. I like to learn about others and what they go through in their lives.

Thanks Berkley Pub for the early look!
We continue the women's suffragist movement with Lucie. Lucie has had a "nemiesis" in Tristan from a young age. When her band of friends get enough money to buy London Print, Tristan stands in their way. He holds a major share in this project company. He's willing to trade his shar3s for one night with her in his bed.
I loved the chemistry between these two. It may seem like they don't like each other much but looks (and actions) can be deceiving.
I love getting to know more about the suffragettes. I know we still have a long way to go for equality between sexes but I'm glad I'm not living back in these days.

In a future world, people wear Spex. They record memories. What will happen if someone out there guessed how to hack into and erase those memories? What would you do with that power?
Lucy meets Marco and they fall for each other pretty fast. Nick has been watching Lucy and is obsessed with her. He starts erasing her memories and people that she is close to. Can Lucy and Marco and their circle of friends/family find and stop him while trying to remember everything about each other?
I don't know if I'd want certain memories erased (if they made me a better person) but there are definitely some that would be cool to forget (stupid exes and little mistakes, things said).
This is a clean YA novel and it's very riveting. I just heard from the author herself that there will be more in this world!

Daphne has long known that one day she shall inherit her Aunt's estate. But when she finds out her childhood friend, Cole, has inherited instead.... She is well beyond shocked.
Cole is the steward's son who has been helping to take care of the estate since his father died and where Daphne spent her summers.
I can understand why Daphne thought Cole somehow manipulated her aunt but it was sad to see how cold she was towards Cole. I'm glad it didn't last long. But as understandings are revealed in why Cole was chosen, you can see the friendship that they had start to come back and feelings of more.
This was a sweet novella in a series of friends who pass off a bracelet to bring each other luck in marrying for love.

What did I just read? I mean that in a good way.
This was a very creepy, very atmospheric novel. Very awesone and character driven.
I knew I'd be getting a creepy house. I didn't expect to get so many creepy characters who are also very odd. The patriarch Howard is a nasty man they gonna drive very dark secrets. He actually disgusted me the whole time.
Noemí is a very strong, self assured woman who heads to High Place at the request of her cousin-who seems not herself in the letter she sends for help.
From the not talking at dinner, to the moans heard throughout the house, to the small and leery servants... There is enough creep factor to keep me captivated. The writing was meant to be a slow burn to keep that crazy atmosphere at the front of your mind.
TW: incest (talked about, not seen) miscarriages, mass death, suicide

This was a sad reality of a story. Black man accused of a crime that he didn't commit just because of the color of his skin and an encounter of another type with the accuser not long before the incident happened.
I liked the letter part of the story more than the rest. I'm not really sure why, probably because it shows the break down of the relationship between Roy and Celestial. I didn't feel sorry for where any of the characters ended up. I don't think that Roy and Celestial would have made it anyway with these circumstances.
I think the one I really liked was Roy Sr. He had a good head on his shoulders and offered good advice.... Sad that no one really took his advice.

Claire Cook has a reason to run. She has an abusive, powerful husband and she's worked very hard to get away.
Eva thinks she has a reason to run. She's been making a very good living doing a not great job (don't want to spoil). She becomes a target of someone she has trusted.
They meet in the airport and decide to swap flights. One of their planes goes down.
This was a fast paced, dual POV told story. I read half for a buddy read and made myself stop to talk about the first half. I them picked up the book after talking and finished. I just had to know what happened! I really enjoyed Claire's POV the most, Eva there were certain problems I had with her and her decisions. But highly enjoyable!
