My Today is book 2 in HJ Bellus' "My Way" series, and though I have not read book 1 (My Forever and Now) but this in now way detracted from this story, and I will be going back to read it in the future.

Lacey has had a terrible childhood, and now noone tells her what to do or who she should be. She is rude, crude and tattooed - and I love the hell out of her! If she was real she would be my best friend.

Tripp is her best friend's cousin by marriage. He has also had tragedy in his past, and has dealt with it with drugs and women. He has lost his dream, his career, and is now working on his cousin' farm, to lick his wounds and get himself straight

After a drunken hook up after her best friend's wedding, their lives change for the better.

Lacey and Tripp together are a hot mess. Friends with benefits? No, they were never just that, there was always the simmering undercurrent of attraction, lust, sexual tension whenever they were in each other's orbit.

They are both still in their own personal hell, but being by each other's side, they might just make it through. Maybe not unburnt, but they might make it through.

I love love love the interactions between Lacey and best friend Milly. These are my kind of girls. They aren't prissy well behaved girls. They drink, the act up, the swear like sailors. They are also each other's fiercest defenders and critics.

Tripp and Cree are so close, and the only family that Tripp really has.

Tripp's father - what a dick! Horrible horrible man.

This story shows how family is who you choose to have in your life, who loves you no matter what. That you do not have to share blood to be family.

The scene stealer in My Today is Annie. 7 years old, snickers addicted Annie. She is fantastic and has everyone, especially Tripp, wrapped around her little finger.

As messed up as Lacey and Tripp are, they are perfect for each other.

This is the first book I have read from HJ Bellus, and I can be sure that it will not be the last. Her writing style was refreshing, and though you read the synopsis and think "oh this kind of story again", it was deliciously different to what I thought I was going to get.

There was a twist in this tale which had me doing a double take as I first read it.

I will go back and read book one, and am looking forward to book 3

review will also be posted at http://bjsbookblog2@blogspot.com during blog tour

Night Moves is book 3 in the G-Man series but can be read as a stand alone (I have not read the first 2 - yet - but this did not take away at all from this story).

Darcy - 22 years old, smart and sassy, beautiful and newly single.  Oh, and just a bit spoilt - hell, a lot spoilt.  But she owns it and is not sorry for it.

Easton - 33 years old, rich and sexy.  A bit of an asshold and a lot of a manwhore (hello sir!)  And he comes with a very sexy piece of body modification **wink wink**  Oh yes, how can we forget, he's British

Their eyes meet over a tropical beach

and that starts a series of chance meetings and interactions that bring them closer together, culminating in mind blowing orgasms

I love that Darcy is not a whiney pathetic kind of girl.  After her break up and some news from her parents (which I still am not sure if I want to cheer for or strangle them for the way they did it), you would expect a lesser woman to crumple.  Not Darcy - as a big fat eff you to her parents and her ex she goes balls to the wall to make it on her own.  We watch her transformation from spoilt brat to confident young woman.

I have to say, I really didn't take to Easton at first.  I am not sure what it was about him but just rubbed me the wrong way.  I did love that he owned that he was a man-whore and didn't hide it.  I hate it when you read some man is supposed to be whoring around and there is no sign of it.  Easton has it out there loud and proud - very loud at times!

And the change in him when he realises he has real feelings for Darcy is very noticable, not just to the reader but to those around him.

There is a fair bit of angst as their relationship blossoms, not from just within their relationship but from outside it as well.  We learn of Easton's childhood and his relationship with his mum (hiss) and dad, and how it has shaped him to the man he is today.  And then there's the ex.

Review to follow - the end was a bit of a mind F&^k so can't write it just yet!

For real is a sweet romance based around the premise of "virgin-pushed-to-lose-her-v card- by-bossy-friends"

Shannon is a college junior and shock of shock, she is a virgin.  This does not sit well with her friends who drag her out to hook up with a random guy to "do it".

I like Shannon.  Yes, she is a bit of a doormat when it comes to her friends, but she is smart and witty.

A chance meeting with Jett sets her on a course she never expected.

After her friends piss her off when they are out one night, she runs into Jett and a plan to get her friends off her back comes to fruition - she spends the night with him, and even though nothing happens, they tell the friends they had sex.

Jett has had the same kind of pressure from his best friend and room mate Javier, so this plan is perfect for both of them.

From the start I could tell where the story was going to go with Shannon and Jett, but watching it all unfold was a joy

I really didn't take to Shannon's friends, especially Hazel.  In fact I found her to be a bit of a bitch, and I wanted to slap her at times, and then shake Shannon to tell her to wake up to herself.  Though I did get the pom poms out when she finally stood up to them and gave them the big

Jett's roommate and best friend was also not what I expected.  After his first lot of antics, I was all

but as the story continued my opinion of him did a complete 180, and he was a better friend to Shannon than her own were.

This was a quick read, and I very much liked Ms Cameron's writing style.  The thing was though, just as it was getting right in and juicy, the story ended.  It was all travelling along then BAM  the end!

If you have a couple of hours to till and want it filled with sweetness, give For Real a go

Though this is book 2 in the Love in the Balance series, I have not yet read book 1 (and I will go back and do that). This can be read as a stand alone.

There is enough background information given that you do not miss out on anything.

Sadie - 30 year old virgin. Brains, smart mouth, and still pining for the man who walked away a year ago.

Aiden - regrets walking away, and Sadie will always be the one that got away.

I loved this pair. When their lives intersect again after everything that has happened, I liked that they didn't instantly become a couple again. They fought - especially their attraction to one another - and slowly grew into their "forever" couple. They worked at their relationship, it didn't just 'happen overnight'

Strong writing from Ms Lemmon had me drawn right into their story and left me not wanting to put the book down (damn this having to go to sleep business!!)

I will be going back to read book 1, and would read any others in this series.

I really enjoyed the premise of the story - demons, angels, who will she choose.

I liked Lisa - she seems to be a strong, steadfast woman. She is thriving in the career she loves, and everything is all going to plan. And for once she is not a whiney, complaining, procrastinating and weak, character

The first about 20% of the story felt a bit schizophrenic, jumping from character to character, and for a while there I felt a bit perplexed as to what was happening

But then things started to settle down and I became really engrossed in the story.

And the two "men" in Lisa's life. Her boss, Samuel, who has recently beome a lot more flirtatious with her, and has become a lot more suggestive with what he want with her. And her sexy neighbour, Alex, who drops into her life and changes her for the good.

Neither man is what they seem, and we get taken on a ride to discover who they are and what they want from Lisa. I was unsure if I wanted Lisa to be with Samuel or Alex (at least until we found out more about them). But in the end, Team Alex all the way.

Through their stories, we find out what people would be willing to give up for the one they love, and the consequences of the decisions they make.

Unfortunately for me, I felt that the last 10-15% if the book again lost the fluidity of the middle part of the book, and felt that we were rushed towards the conclusion of this story, only to find we'd been cliffhangered!!

Perhaps a little more time could have been spent to get our characters to where they were at the end, instead of everything being wrapped up as quickly as it was?

But this may be just me, and you will all have to read Fallen yourself and see what you think.

Fallen is a good debut novel from Ms Morgan, and I know that I will go ahead and read the next book when it comes out, to learn what happens to Lisa, Alex and the other players in this book.
