This is the first part of the serialised series Forever Wild. There will be 6 parts to this series, with a new part released every 3 weeks.
Valerie Wilder is a wild child (though we don't see too much of this at first). A bit on the "thick" side, she realises that she is never going to be the girl guys get serious about, she is the good time girl but that's all she'll ever be.
Or is it?
After justing the Vegas Rock Hard Abs competition, things get a little bit blurry. The next morning she wakes up with the winner Wes in her bed - and he's now her husband.
\
I am still not sure about Wes. What are his intentions now that Val isn't what he thought she was? Can two lonely people make something of it when they are thrown together, or can the circumstances of how they met be too much to overcome.
I guess for that we will have to wait and see.
This story sucked me in from the beginning. The concept of the story is nothing new - average girl meets hot guy, she doesn't feel she deserves him blah blah, but Ms Vernon wrote it so as I didn't feel all ho hum here we go again.
"Wild Wes" you still have to prove yourself to me, and I am hoping you do yourself justice.

Kalli is a strong young woman. Abused as a child, drunk and drug-abusing mother, studying at university, all the while watching out for her 4 year old twin brothers, who are not really being cared for by their mother.
She acts out in the only way that makes sense to her - sexually, but only in public.
Nate is her best male friend. She has never done anything with him, as she knows it will change their relationship forever.
Their attraction is mutual, which is becoming harder and harder to ignore.
It took me a little while to get into Kalli's head, but when I did, wow! Some of the things that she did, I just wanted to scream at her for, but how she does not completely break down is beyond me.
Nate, Nate, Nate. You sexy thing. My heart broke over and over for him as he watched Kalli do these things. He and Kalli always drew together only for her to push him away and I felt for him every time.
And the interactions between this pair.... steamy, sexy!
As much as Being Kalli is a story about the relationship between Kalli and Nate, the bigger part of the story for me was the relationship between Kalli and her mother, Mary.
Mary is a troubled lady. Instead of looking after her children, she is all about getting drunk and high with her friend, all about "having fun". I wanted to slap her and tel lher to wake up to herself on more than one occasion.
I wanted to cheer when Kalli confronted her about her behaviour. But even more when it seemed to work. I was a big cheerleader for Mary cleaning up her act and being the mother for a change.
Can Mary stay clean? Kalli and Nate - will they or won't they?
For that you are going to have to read for yourself!
I did feel that a couple of areas of the book were a little rushed over, but these may be gone over in more detail in later books.
This is the first book of Ms Berto's that I have read (I have had her other books on my kindle forever waiting for me to read them, I have just never got to them :/ ). I will definitely be moving them further up my TBR list.

Once upon a time, Christmas was Kayla Green's favorite time of year. Now all the workaholic wants for Christmas is for it to be over—as fast as possible! So when duty calls her to snowy Vermont to close a deal with a new client, Kayla is grateful for an excuse to avoid the holidays for another year.
Jackson O'Neil left a thriving business behind to return home and salvage his family's resort—it's in his blood, and he can't let it fail. Now that he's got marketing whiz Kayla Green working with him to put Snow Crystal on the map, success is on the horizon. The fact they strike enough sparks off each other to power all the Christmas lights in Vermont is just an added bonus.
Kayla might be an expert at her job, but she's out of her depth with Jackson—he makes her crave the happy-ever-after she once dreamed of, and it's terrifying. As the snowflakes continue to swirl, will the woman who doesn't believe in the magic of Christmas finally fall under its spell?
Review by Janeane - ARC received from author via NetGalley for honest review
I love Christmas. Always have. And every year we see hundreds of Christmas related books. But with so many, which do you choose? I am glad that I chose this one.
I loved Sleigh Bells in The Snow.
Christmas is a time of love and family, but what if your memories of Christmas weren't happy ones. How would you cope with all the "Christmas Cheer" surrounding you?
If you are Kayla Green, you throw yourself into work. She is the epitome of "workaholic". She strives to be the best in her field of work. And to do that, work is all she lives for. What better way to cope this year than by throwing herself into work, in a secluded cabin at a Vermont ski resort.
Jackson O'Neill has returned to help the family business. After operating a very successful business overseas, he wants the family business and home to survive and thrive. They are close to losing it all and they need help.
And Jackson is all kinds of hotness. Kind and caring, sexy and thoughful. Ticks about every box required in a BBF.
The sparks fly between Jackson and Kayla from the minute they first meet, but will Kayla follow those feelings or will she lock Jackson out of her heart?
For that, you will need to buy and read for yourself.
Along the way ,there will be some of this
and maybe some of this
I loved that Kayla wasn't the perfect heroine. She was a bit of a klutz at times, she had troubles with her work, she made me laugh, she made me cry, she faltered and she thrived.
I could completely understand her being overwhelmed by the O'Neill family and all their love and support they showed her. It really was a reminder that the way we are treated and treat others can have a long lasting effect on others, whether we realise it or not.
The thing I really liked about this story was that no one tried to force Christmas onto Kayla. She hated it, they didn't understand why she hated it, but they understood enough to not push her into it. And I loved how they all tried to give her new Christmas memories.
There are some great secondary characters. We have 2 more O'Neill Brothers to learn about in future books, and ornery old grandfather and a grandmother who keeps him in line, a loving wonderful mother who is the glue that keeps them all together.
I think it would be wonderful to once in my life have a white Christmas. Christmas here is all about stinking hot days, sunburn and blowflies! It want Snow Crystal to be real so I can visit one day.
This is the first of Sarah Morgan's works I have read and will definitely read more.

Aria and Dan have their HEA at the beginning of Once a Seal. We meet them on their wedding day after a whirlwind courtship and romance.
I am sure more than one of us has had a fantasy of being with a Navy SEAL (I can neither confirm nor deny this for myself!), but that's what it is, a fantasy.
Once a Seal, though a romance, is not the average romance. It shows the side of military life that is glossed over in many books based around the military.
It shows the nitty gritty of being a military wife. The lonely nights. The worry that their man may not come home. The secrecy of their missions. The loss of one of a team.
It also shows us the sense of family amongst the team's families.
I found the first half of the book a bit hard to get into, and Aria felt quite naive. I know she was new to the military world but I felt her expectations of Dan were a little... I don't know how to explain it. It was like she expected Dan to have a 9 - 5 job and be home every night and she got shirty when he wasn't. I am sure the adjustment into being a military wife is a difficult one, but at times I just wanted to shake some sense into her and tell her to snap out of it.
I think Anne did a great job with the Jimmy (Aria's brother) story line. Though I felt that Mark's storyline could have been a bit more suspenseful (but this could just have been me!)
I really do like SEAL storie - it's like "you had me at SEAL" but with this I don't know... I didn't hate it but I didn't love it. I did like it though.
It was kind of like a "Military Wifes for Dummies" kind of book.

I thoroughly enjoyed Zane and Lucky's first Christmas.
There were some laugh out loud moments, tender moments, some sad moments. I loved that it was not just the journey Zane and Lucky took on their way to parenthood, but we also got more of Noah and his trials as he became insta-parent to Skylar.
I will miss the Beaumont family, but am looking forward to Ms Cooper's new ventures.

Nora, college girl with a few self esteem issues, goes to party and meets sexy guy. Something seems a bit off, but because he is soooooo hot, she forgets the "off" thing and leaves with him.
Cue second super sexy guy who is interested, and we have our love triangle
I could not really connect with Nora, and I am not quite sure why this is the case. Maybe if we had a bit more background on her, some of her actions might have made a bit more sense? And she felt a bit slutty to me, the way she flipped from Alec's bed to Caleb's without much thought.
And for a while it was hard to figure out the vibe between the two guys, Alec and Caleb - though this was dealt with later in the book.
I did enjoy the Cain and Abel/sins of the father mythology that Alec and Caleb were playing out through eternity.
I did feel that the ending was rushed. I am still left scratching my head as to what happened at the end, however as this is book #1 in the Eden Falls series, maybe these things will be sorted out later.
I didn't love, but didn't hate Bitter Fruits, I was just left wanting.
But this could just be me, a lot of people absolutely loved it.

Billionaires and sexy tattooed, rock stars galore!
His To Possess is a hot - though slightly weird! - serial book, that is 6 novellas that will be be released within a short time of each other.
After being dumped and losing her job, Jessica is in Philadelphia for a job fair. A chance encounter with a man who reminds her of her ex leads to great changes in her life.
Her "one night stand" is billionaire Dane Ranier, who also turns out to be her new boss.
The sexual tension and attraction between Dane and Jessica is so thick you could cut it with a knife, and when they embark on a "sex only" relationship things heat up quick smart.
Enter Storm - the ex who broke her heart. He has tracked her down and wants her back. But Storm was not who he said he was
There is a connection between Storm and Dane that was not expected!
Love triange hijinx ensue, and Jessica has some hard (pun intended!!) decisions to make.
There is one particular sex scene though hot and not weird, the way it came to being was a bit bizarre.
I did feel that at times His to Possess did feel a little bit rushed, and the way things ended had me scratching my head, thinking 'what just happened', but overall, this was a good, quick, sexy read.
