Summary:
Alex is the president's son and Henry is the Prince of Wales. Both the children of powerful leaders of different countries, neither of which like each other. But as an incident occurs at the royal wedding, both boys are forced to spend time together.
What I Liked:
The beginning relationships were fine, nothing extraordinary.
What I Didn't Like:
The "enemies" portion of the story was short and not really that well developed. They clearly didn't like each other, but it's not like they were "enemies" or something. (Especially when it was revealed that Henry wasin love with Alex ever since they had met .
The forced mentioning of the trio or the crew of six was kind of cringy. I don't understand why it was necessary.
At 50% of the way through the book, I started to get bored and not want to finish the book. I wasn't very interested in the end of the book.
Overall:
I'm not really into the political aspect.

Summary:
After moving to a new town to help take care of her sister and niece, Emily is forced to participate in a Renaissance Faire. As Emily's relationship with the faire's organizer, Simon, starts off on a bad start, she thinks his seriousness and straight-forward nature to be off-putting. But as the faire progresses, Emily begins to see a new side to Simon, the people, and the town of Willow Creek
What I Liked:
The relationship between the main love interests was cute and not completely smooth, making it more realistic.
What I Didn't Like:
I could see how this was an enemies-to-lovers, but aside from one scene, the "love" portion of this book was quite tame and chill (as in, it felt like the romance/relationship wasn't a focal poi
Not only that, but the ending when theygot engaged, was way too fast. I understand some time had passed, but not that much (only a year, I believe).
The faire aspect of the story was supposed to be cutesy and romantic, but to me, it seemed awkward and cringy.
Overall:
Nothing really special about this book, there were some good parts though.

Summary:
Becca has never had a boyfriend or even kissed anyone, so when her ex-best friend makes fun of her for not being experienced, she tells her that she's been secretly seeing someone. One problem, she was lying. Luckily for her, Brett, who was listening in on their conversation, covers for her and pretends to be her boyfriend. As they try to keep up their facade of a fake relationship, they get closer and closer. But as outside circumstances bring troubles to their lives, even their fake relationship might not be able to survive.
What I Liked:
Becca and Brett's relationship was not completely smooth and that made it feel realistic and genuine. Their connection was cute.
What I Didn't Like:
75% of the way through the book, and this girl starts ripping up books and tossing them into the river. POLLUTION AND BOOK MURDER.
Everything was alright in the end.Becca and Jen's relationship was fixed, Becca and Brett actually started dating, Becca forgave her father, and Brett's family was back to normal. It's a little too cliche.
Overall:
Again, I never really know what to say about a five star book. The relationship was cute, the only bad-ish thing was the too perfect endings.

Summary:
As Harry's fifth year starts, the wizarding world still refuses to believe that Voldemort has risen and come back. As Harry returns to school, he finds it dramatically different from previous years and controlled by the ministry. As a secret order reforms to fight off the Dark Lord, no one but Harry can fight off Voldemort as their minds connect and rage an invisible war.
What I Liked:
I loved the addition of how Harry and the Weasleys are always helping and saving each other.
Also, we finally got sassy Ginny and the addition of Luna Lovegood.
What I Didn't Like:
Even when I was reading this the first time, I had a hard time finishing this book. Out of all of the books in the series, I felt like this was the weakest, especially in the aspect of world-building and magical moments/aspects.
Overall:
Book 5 will always be the hardest book for me to read and get through.

After her father passed away and left her a beach home in his childhood town, January decided to move there as she is quickly running out of money. After reuniting with a fellow writer who she went to college with, they decide to switch genres and help each other with writer's block.
What I Liked:
This book was easy to read, but that was because there was nothing that pulled any emotion out of me.
What I Didn't Like:
The fact that the two main characters have history. The history between them made the story really cliche and unenjoyable.
Overall:
This book wasn't that special. It was plain and pretty normal.

Summary:
Following her twin's wedding, everyone but two people get sick: Olive, and her nemesis, (who happens to be her sister's husband's brother) Ethan. As Olive is convinced to take her sister's honeymoon with her nemesis, she can't help but realize that her hatred for Ethan may have been unfounded. As secrets are revealed and the honeymoon ends, the lying and secrets seem to create more trouble than was expected.
What I Liked:
I loved that this story bad both romance and a bit of heartbreak in it. It makes the relationship a lot more three dimensional and makes it feel more genuine. (Not that if you have a good relationship without heartbreak it means it isn't genuine.)
I love that Olive wasfired for lying to her new boss. Finally a book where there are actual consequences for doing bad-ish things.
What I Didn't Like:
The transition from hate to like to love was quick. The "enemies" portion of the enemies-to-lovers wasn't really there. Olive just was prejudiced against Ethan and they didn't bother to get to know each other better to figure out whether or not their perceptions of each other were actually accurate. There really wasn't any real hate.
Overall:
The ups and downs in this really did it for me.

You Can Thank Me Later is a short story occurring only on Thanksgiving day in a four year time period. It explores traditions, changes, grief, and family.
I loved hating on some of the characters in this novella. Most, if not all, members of the family are hypocritical and seem to care more about themselves than each other. For example, Charlie never lets Sophie grieve, everyone loves leaving voicemails for Sophie (who hates voicemails), and Charlie's girlfriend wants to fit in, but then uproots a tradition.
Not only that, but it also has a cliche ending.Like, of course, Sophie would make a mistake, someone else gets blamed, she admits she made the mistake, and they all connect and get along after years of not liking Charlie's girlfriend. Also, the traditions are continued and everyone is happy again.

Ari works at his parent's bakery, but as he wants to leave and pursue a future in music, he helps hire a replacement. As his replacement, Hector, and he begin to spend time together, Ari can't help but think working at the bakery isn't so bad.
What I Liked:
Like most graphic novels, the art style was both adorable and beautiful at the same time. I loved how there was just one color, making all of it monochrome.
What I Didn't Like:
The romance aspect was slow, but not in a slow-burn way. It was nonexistent for a while, then it just started.
Overall:
Easy to read book, but not that impactful

Summary:
One night, all over the world, giant statues of unknown material appear in major locations. April May and her friends, being the first to discover what they have dubbed, the Carls, begin to dedicate their time discovering what the Carls are and why there are here. But as news of the Carls spread like wildfire, stranger and stranger things begin to occur.
What I Liked:
The ending. It was amazing and I'm glad it wasn't lackluster. I was debating whether or not to finish/continue this series, but I do want to now.
I listened to the audiobook of this, and I liked the fact that Hank took over at the end to narrate a different point of view.
What I Didn't Like:
April goes from feeling special to feeling like she isn't special, and I was confused on that part. Didn't she want to be special? She chose to shape herself into that bridge between humans and Carls. She chose to take the money, go on shows, write books.
A lot of the people here are flawed, thus, I thought a lot of them were assholes, including the main character. However, I couldn't help root for the main character, so I guess she was pretty well written if I can still like someone so unlikeable.
I'm not really sure if I like the format of the book. A lot of times, it directly talks to the reader and I'm not really used to that. It felt really exposition-y, (especially the part where April mentioned a gory part was coming up in the chapter,) and other times, it made it so that A LOT of information was just piled onto the reader in a matter of seconds.
Overall:
It's really clear how much [a: Hank Green|7023543|Hank Green|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1518200461p2/7023543.jpg]'s personal experiences are included in this book, the science, the YouTube/social media interaction, and more. Those weren't my favorite parts, but the overall story was really good.

Summary:
Josh and Hazel are worlds apart. Josh is as professional and normal as it gets. Hazel, on the other hand, prefers to be the truest version of her possible, even if it means being "embarrassing." When they reunite after years of being apart, Hazel and Josh become friends, making sure to emphasize that they will not date each other.
What I Liked:
I love how unabashed Hazel was. Good on her (and her mom) for not changing for a man.
The romance was cute, but unoriginal.
What I Didn't Like:
I listened to the audiobook of this, and the female narrator sounded mid-20s, but when the male narrator attempted to enact Hazel's words, he made her sound whiney and around 8 years old.
This was not a slow burn, as I had anticipated. They immediately started liking each other.
The fact that Hazel was the opposite of Tabby. Why did Josh even like Tabby? He mentioned it was the sex, but then, later on, he mentioned how he wasn't the type to be casual, while not having any connection to Tabby?
The convenientpregnancy .
That one sex scene where Josh "needed" to come. Um, what? Also the awkwardness of listening to the audiobook narrators making those sounds.
Overall:
There were points where I smiled, but there were too many tropes or bad writing for this to be anything greater than 3 stars.
