Well Met
by Jen DeLuca
Ratings:
Stars: 3/5
Readability: 4/5
Plot: 3/3
Recommend: No
Summary:
After moving to a new town to help take care of her sister and niece, Emily is forced to participate in a Renaissance Faire. As Emily's relationship with the faire's organizer, Simon, starts off on a bad start, she thinks his seriousness and straight-forward nature to be off-putting. But as the faire progresses, Emily begins to see a new side to Simon, the people, and the town of Willow Creek
What I Liked:
The relationship between the main love interests was cute and not completely smooth, making it more realistic.
What I Didn't Like:
I could see how this was an enemies-to-lovers, but aside from one scene, the "love" portion of this book was quite tame and chill (as in, it felt like the romance/relationship wasn't a focal poi
Not only that, but the ending when theygot engaged, was way too fast. I understand some time had passed, but not that much (only a year, I believe).
The faire aspect of the story was supposed to be cutesy and romantic, but to me, it seemed awkward and cringy.
Overall:
Nothing really special about this book, there were some good parts though.
