You Can Thank Me Later is a short story occurring only on Thanksgiving day in a four year time period. It explores traditions, changes, grief, and family.

I loved hating on some of the characters in this novella. Most, if not all, members of the family are hypocritical and seem to care more about themselves than each other.
For example, Charlie never lets Sophie grieve, everyone loves leaving voicemails for Sophie (who hates voicemails), and Charlie's girlfriend wants to fit in, but then uproots a tradition.

Not only that, but it also has a cliche ending.
Like, of course, Sophie would make a mistake, someone else gets blamed, she admits she made the mistake, and they all connect and get along after years of not liking Charlie's girlfriend. Also, the traditions are continued and everyone is happy again.
