Summary:
Following the unexpected death of her fiance (Freddy), Lydia finds herself stuck in two universes; one awake, where Freddy is dead, and one asleep, where Freddy is still alive. As major events in both universes shape her life, Lydia must decide which life is for her, the one with Freddy, or the one without.
What I Liked:
The ending with Lydia andJonah . I'm glad they came to terms with their feelings and that some of it was left ambiguous.
When Lydia left for Croatia. I wasn't expecting it, but I'm glad she actually took charge and did something other than wallowing. Her logic that her sister wouldn't need help with a newborn was idiotic, but at least she finally got some balls to move on.
What I Didn't Like:
The addition of Chris in the middle was kinda random. I know it was to signify that Lydia was capable of moving on, but his disappearance later on was odd.
There wasn't anything major (other than the ending) that made me like the book a lot, especially since this was more about grief than any romance. I guess you could say it was a slowburn, but hell, it was a very very slow slowburn with no fire at all throughout the book.
Overall:
Overall, this is a middle-of-the-road book. I wish [a: Josie Silver|16737899|Josie Silver|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1579694078p2/16737899.jpg] either went with a story about grief or a story about love after grief, because this felt a little like neither aspects were fulfilled.

Summary:
Langley needs a fake date for her stepsister's wedding (where she will be marrying her ex-boyfriend). She meets Iker and lucky for her, he is in need of cash. They make a plan to ruin the wedding.
(Sorry for the bad summary, I'm just so tired of them. I'm not doing them next year.)
What I Liked:
The ending, up until I found out there was a sequel. And then it got slightly better? Not gonna lie, a duology seems like a good plan and way to explore this story more, but regardless, I liked how this book ended (except one part) with themnot being together .
What I Didn't Like:
I didn't like the fact that the guy already felt insta-love from the beginning. Not only that, but the situation where they met was odd (specifically, his intentions). He didn't want to associate with her, so he didn't look at her, but then followed her and defended her? Or the fact he really liked her, but didn't tell her he was leaving to her face, what a cowardly and unloving thing to do.
The fact that they had to emphasize how different Langley was from the other girls. This book really relied on the fact that all of the rich daughters were selfish bitches that only like drama (except for Langley, of course). Do anything to make your protagonist look good, right?
Another thing was the whole family dynamic between the Vaughns. Especially the miscommunication thing between Langley and her dad. But overall, Langley is stupid for making herself miserable for her dad. Her dad is stupid for not noticing how his new wife and stepdaughter are treating his daughter. Her stepmom is stupid for believing everything her daughter does is amazing and that Langley stopped anyone from having a proper relationship. And her stepsister is stupid for thinking that Langley has it the best and that all the greatest things belong to her. They are all stupid.
Also, another thing I hated, the fact that out of everyone, it was Iker who understood Langley. Langley is the complete opposite of her stepsister and their life, so they don't get along. However, Langley is also the complete opposite of Iker and his life, yet they get along fine. I think it's just Langley who thinks she's better than her stepsister all the goddamn time, thus why her stepsister felt like she needed to get a one-up on her all the time. She only got along with Iker because she let him into her life in ways that she didn't to others. She only got along with Iker because they were gonna ruin her stepsister's wedding. I don't care that they cheated on you (yes that's horrible), but the fact that they ARE GETTING MARRIED says something, no?
Overall:
Essentially, Langley is an "I'm not like other girls" person and I hate that. No one in this book has any personality, at all. Everyone is stupid and unrealistic.

overview:
my second favorite book in the series, after [b:Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban|5|Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (Harry Potter, #3)|J.K. Rowling|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1499277281l/5._SY75_.jpg|2402163]. a lot of the books in this series have a ton of exposition in it, (which really contributes to the world building) and this book is no exception.
liked:
- finally got the Harry andGinny relationship, however, i personally felt like it came out of nowhere since there weren't any hints in the previous books
- the first chapter with both (kind of three) ministers
- introduction of Horace Slughorn
- more potions, without Snape
- everything to do with felix felices
- the quidditch portions, especially with Harry as the captain

- Fleur Delacour's love for Bill Weasley
disliked:
- the beginning is a bit slower compared to books 1-4, but at least it was better than [b:Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix|2|Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (Harry Potter, #5)|J.K. - hated the part where Hermione cheated to get Ron onto the quidditch team. clearly, both Harry and Hermione doubted Ron's ability, but didn't want to hurt their friend's feelings. Ron got bullied so much in [b:Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix|2|Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (Harry Potter, #5)|J.K. - the way Lavender Brown was treated
- the way Fleur Delacour was treated
- the death ofDumbledore , I would've finished this in a day, if it were not for the fact that his death stopped me from continuing.

Summary:
Dannie's life is everything she had planned, she's engaged and about to land her dream job. But one night, Dannie awakes to find herself five years into the future, no longer engaged, in a different apartment, and with a different man. Before long, she wakes up back in the present, wondering if what she just experienced was just a dream. As four and a half years passed, she thinks little of the dream/vision. Until one day, when the man she saw in her dream/vision steps into her life.
What I Liked:
I absolutely did not expect the ending realization of what had actually happened on December 15th, 2025. I came into this book expecting a light-ish romance, but instead was served with something much more hard-hitting.
What I Didn't Like:
The separation of David and Dannie was a little odd. I kinda feel like it came up out of nowhere. I know that they were engaged for a long time, and in those 4 and half years, they pushed back a wedding, but that doesn't necessarily mean Dannie didn't want to get married. Also, why is it that David came to that conclusion so soon after Bella also told Dannie that she didn't really want to marry David? It all seems a little too perfectly coordinated.
There was no chemistry between anyone, at all.
The ending was disappointing.
Overall:
I do like it when endings are a bit more ambiguous and when the two love interests don't end up with each other, but this book did not do that. It was too ambiguous and not what I expected. I feel like there was a large chunk of text I must've skipped over. It was also just a bit disappointing and sad. I liked the beginning, didn't like the end. It just felt off.

not one of the worst books, i feel like it was a good ending to the series. on another note, i both liked and disliked Snape's redemption, but overall i feel like there were better ways of doing it. I feel like [a:J. K. Rowling|1077326|J.K. Rowling|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1596216614p2/1077326.jpg] wanted a redemption at the end of the series, thus she had to include that big exposition scene with Snape's memories. again, there are a lot sections of exposition and straight-up telling the trio/reader certain information. at least it was done sort of well.
liked:
- the beginning was a bit slow
- the connection that it was a doe patronus (Snape's) thatgave the trio Godric's sword
- Percy'sreturn to the family . it was heartwarming and made the scene with Fred's death so much harder to go through. he finally reunited with his family, and the first one who welcomed him back dies . :(
disliked:
- the death ofFred
- Dobby's appearance was odd and out of nowhere (obviously), but the fact that he was fine with going against his old masters when in previous books he was still against it despite being freed.

Eadlyn is about to be the queen of Illéa. She is the most powerful person right now and is having trouble with love. The Selection is wrapping up and Eadlyn is finding it harder and harder to find that fairytale love her parents have.
I started the Selection series six years ago. I still love this series, even though I prefer the first three books. This book has a great love story and I will credit my love for romance books to this specific series.
I listened to this via an audiobook.
