This was a fantastic read. I enjoyed Bardugo's Grisha trilogy but this one went far beyond that. The concept of an Ocean's 11 team in the steam punky world of the Grisha was great! I enjoyed all of the characters, especially Inej. The dirty and grungy feel of the Crows Club really made you feel as if you were part of this unique world. Hands down my favorite novel so far this year.
Just a warning thought. If you haven't read the Grisha trilogy you may want to before reading this book since there isn't much explanation about who the Grisha are.

I'm really more three and a half stars. I like the plot and found the mixture of fairy tale and sci-fi really cool. But, the whole book had a very young feel to it which made me mad because I think if the level was higher it would have made the read better for me. I wanted Cinder to be older, less naive, and maybe even darker. That being said, the end of the book gave promise to the rest of the series.

I originally read this in high school and loved it then. Now I just like it. It was a cute and very quick read. The characters are good but j wished it was a little longer so I could get more into the story. I get that Zoey liked Lucas but it was a little too quick for her to be falling for him. All in all a good YA quick read romance.

I didn't hate this book but I also didn't like it either. Kinsey was more blah and annoying to me than strong and no info was given about the case for a long time during the book. I guessed the ending about a fourth of a way through the book, at least most of it. And then some weird things happened at the end that made no sense. I really want to go the series another shot so we shall see how that goes.

I am in love with this series! The mixture of reality show, dystopian future, and romance is great. All of the characters are likable and the plot moves along nicely. It was a quick read but a good one. The only thing I would change would be to mature some of the characters a little, so that their temperament and dialogue match their ages more. All in all, a great book!

While I still love this series and its characters I feel as though the whole selection process is dragging a little. Looking forward to seeing how this all ends.

This was a satisfying ending to the series. My only complaint is that books two and three could have been condensed into one book with many of the boring parts cut out. But, I would still recommend the series.

This is a hard book for me to review because there were times when reading that I loved the book and moments where I hated it. Eilis annoyed me a lot which I think is where the hatred comes in. She is a very contemplative person but seems to just fall into things, especially her relationship with Tony, and doesn't actually speak up if she doesn't want something. I didn't see any love on Eilis's side of the relationship. She just wanted to do what other people saw as right. That being said, I liked the look of old Brooklyn and the small town in Ireland. I think I wanted more out of this book but didn't get it.

This book started off good, with some interesting characters and setting. But everything went down hill after that. Nothing really happened for the first two hundred pages, except character development. There wasn't any mystery, or at least there was some weird occurrences but not even the characters found them interesting enough to actually look into. The relationships weren't very interesting either. Freya was cheating on her fiancé and it wasn't even interesting. The worst part was that the ending had to be explained. The last few chapters had to explain why things happened, which drives me nuts. Also, the idea of the witches being from Asgard was actually interesting but only mentioned in the last 15 pages and then there was way too much explaining of it. This series was definitely not for me and I won't be continuing it.

I really liked this book! It was so well written and had a great message behind it. I loved Willowdean and the exploration of her relationship with her mother, her best friend, society, and the hot guy. The backdrop of the pageant was fun and I liked seeing a little bit into Texas, a place I have not been to but find fascinating. The only thing I didn't like was a bit of flip flopping on Willowdean's part. She was so confident when she talked to her mother but then was completely insecure around Bo. I wanted her to pick on side, although I understood where she was coming from from both sides. I really hope there is a sequel so that I can catch up with these great characters.
