Thank you to Natalie Cox, the publisher, and NetGalley for an advanced reader's copy of "Mutts and Mistletoe"

I really enjoyed this book. It was a light and funny read that is set around my favorite time of year, Christmas.

Charlie, a 31 year old IT professional, lives in London and recently has gone through a break-up. Her pain over this recent breakup has created her lack of enthusiasm for the upcoming Christmas holiday and contributes to her feeling of avoiding all men. Due to an accident in her apartment building, Charlie is sent to the hospital and into the care of her cousin, Jez, in the country. Jez owns a high-end dog boarding facility. And oddly enough, Charlie is not a dog lover. Jez leaves Charlie on her own with the dogs to fly off to Finland to meet the love of her life for the first time in real life.

Charlie, through many funny adventures, has to learn quickly how to take care of several dogs, including a pregnant Beagle, while interacting with the hot "Bovine Call" and Hugo, the handsome owner of deaf Malcolm. Soon Charlie starts to feel the spirit of Christmas and learns to let love back into her life through both the dogs and the men who want to be near her.

I think many others who are looking for a light and funny read that involves adorable dogs will love this book.

Thank you to Amanda Flower, the publisher, and NetGalley for providing me an advanced reader's copy of this book.

This is the 3rd installment of the Amish Candy store series by Amanda Flower. I have read the other two books and am enjoying this series.

Bailey King is preparing for Christmas while now living in the town of Harvest, Ohio with her Amish grandmother and cousin. Bailey decided to move full time to help out her grandmother after the death of her grandfather. The town is in full Christmas spirit with the annual Christmas Market starting. Unfortunately, a surprise from her ex-boyfriend, Eric, throws her off balance, when he announces that he wants to film a Christmas special of his TV show in her Swissmen Sweets Candy Store. Not only do the Amish have a problem with the production but so does the local deputy, Aiden, who has his own feelings about Bailey.

The death of one of the show's executive producer, Rocky, throws another curveball at this quiet little town. While Bailey is not considered a suspect (thank god!) in this book, her ex-boyfriend, Eric, is the number one suspect as Bailey found him standing over the body. Eric proclaims his innocence and pleads with Bailey to investigate the murder to find the true killer.

I love the character detail in this book from Bailey, to her best friend Cass, her grandmother, Aiden, Josie, and who could forget the pet pig. I think cozy mystery lovers will soon love to be engrossed in this series to see how Bailey continues to remain "English" in a quaint Amish town.

Thank you to Amanda Flower, the publisher, and NetGalley.

In this 2nd installment in the Amish Candy Shop Mystery series, Bailey King is adjusting to live in Harvest, Ohio among Amish people. A recent transplant from New York, Bailey has decided to honor her Amish grandfather's dying wish to take of her Amish grandmother and the beloved Amish Swissmen Sweets candy shop. Though Bailey is not Amish, she used to visit her Amish grandparents throughout her childhood. Her Amish grandfather inspired her to become a chocolatier. Being "English" in an Amish community can be very difficult especially when trying to carry on her grandfather's reputable Amish candy shop.

Baily participates in the annual Amish Confectionery Competition to help bring business to the Swissmen Sweets candy shop. During the contest, a dead body is discovered in the church's organ, by Bailey, which is soon determined to be Josephine Weaver, an Amish woman who did not hide her anger about an "English person" participating in the context.

I really enjoyed this book as much as the 1st on in the series (Assaulted Caramel). I like the Amish setting and the interplay with "English" culture. As usual, there is a possible budding romance with the town's Deputy, Aiden.

The mystery part of this book was surprising. I was not expecting the ending of the person caught in the end to be the killer.

I highly recommend this book to "cozy mystery" fans. I am looking forward to reading more in this series by Amanda Flower.

Thank you for Netgalley, Chris Bohjalian, and the publisher for providing me with an advanced copy of the Flight Attendant.

Cassie is a flight attendant who wakes up one more in a foreign hotel room next to a dead man that she only met the previous night. Cassie has a tendency to drink too much, pick up strange men, and black out or pass out. When Cassie discovers the dead body, she can not remember everything the night before. The book proceeds to determine if Cassie killed this man. Or was it Melinda, the attractive woman who came to Alex's hotel the night before? . What reasons would there be to murder Alex, a very attractive and apparently rich, hedge fund manager? What will Cassie do to figure out what exactly happened that night?

I believe this book had an interesting storyline. However, I felt no connection to Cassie, the main character. Actually, for the majority of the book, I just felt annoyance with Cassie. Maybe that was the point. Cassie is not a good person and takes after her father in a lot of ways. Even her own sister, does not trust Cassie with her niece and nephew because of the drinking and inappropriate sexual behavior. I did not like the way the book flowed back and forth between the viewpoints of Cassie and "Miranda". For this story, I thought it was a little over-the-top. That being said, I did start to feel warmer about Cassie towards the end. The ending was a bit of a surprise. I did not actually see it coming.

I think fans of Chris Bohjalian will enjoy this book. I look forward to reading other books by this author.

Thank you for Netgalley, the publisher, and Joanne Fluke for providing me with an advanced copy of this book. I am a huge fan of this series. I have read all of the books. I especially enjoyed reading this book as it was a break from the usual.

This book describes the backstory of how Hannah came to be the owner of the Cookie Jar after the passing of her father. Hannah has recently dropped out of college and returned to her hometown in order to support her mother through her time of grief. A local "hero" in town has fallen on some hard times and has been recently hospitalized. Her one request is for a recreation of the "Christmas Ball" to relive her childhood. To help distract Hannah's mom, Delores, her friends decide to get Delores and Hannah on board to help recreate the "hero's" wish.

This was definitely a fun and easy read that Joanne Fluke's fans will enjoy.
