Mutts and Mistletoe by Natalie Cox
4.0

Thank you to Natalie Cox, the publisher, and NetGalley for an advanced reader's copy of "Mutts and Mistletoe"

I really enjoyed this book. It was a light and funny read that is set around my favorite time of year, Christmas.

Charlie, a 31 year old IT professional, lives in London and recently has gone through a break-up. Her pain over this recent breakup has created her lack of enthusiasm for the upcoming Christmas holiday and contributes to her feeling of avoiding all men. Due to an accident in her apartment building, Charlie is sent to the hospital and into the care of her cousin, Jez, in the country. Jez owns a high-end dog boarding facility. And oddly enough, Charlie is not a dog lover. Jez leaves Charlie on her own with the dogs to fly off to Finland to meet the love of her life for the first time in real life.

Charlie, through many funny adventures, has to learn quickly how to take care of several dogs, including a pregnant Beagle, while interacting with the hot "Bovine Call" and Hugo, the handsome owner of deaf Malcolm. Soon Charlie starts to feel the spirit of Christmas and learns to let love back into her life through both the dogs and the men who want to be near her.

I think many others who are looking for a light and funny read that involves adorable dogs will love this book.
