So this is actually 3 different stories in one. They all vary in quality but let's just say the first story doesn't do the rest of this book justice.
So we start off with one of the weirdest/dumbest villains ever. Una Nemo has a big ass hole in her head and decides she has to kill people. Batman (Dick) and Robin (Damien) go to stop her. On top of that we get another story, which is the title, Dark Knight vs White Knight, which is the highlight of the entire collection. This one is about Batman and Robin trying to stop a crazy person who is killing family members and such of criminals. Last but not least is about Red hood being his insane motherfucking ass as always.
Good: Loved the dark night vs white knight story. Highly entertaining, banter between Damien and Dick is spot on, and the ending is wonderful. I also enjoyed the Red Hood story as it was fun and the banter once again was great as well as the art.
Bad: The first story is easily the weakest, with a terrible villain, and very little else to care about. Also, the 90's art throwback didn't help.
Overall the 2nd and 3rd part of this collection push it to the 4 star rating where's the first story holds it back from being amazing. A 4 out of 5.

Holy hell I forgot how much of a asshole Ultimate Captain America is. A true asshole but oh so fun.
Okay so what's happening after Ultimatium? One of the worst events ever? Well Nick Fury says it perfectly in the first page "What the fuck is this shit?" because really...it's crazy. So we have a Cap who has gone rogue. He's done listening to Shield or anyone after he finds out a secret Red Skull tells him. This time Red Skull has a far more interesting and dark past than before. He's also ruthless in his ways and decides to make everyone pay. So Fury creates the Avengers. A elite black ops team ready to face anyone in their way.
Good: Super fun and crazy and dumb but it makes it a fast paced fun reading experience. The fights are great, brutal as shit, as Mark usually writes them. I thought the reveal of the Red Skull was pretty fun too. The ending was fucked up but does lead to some interesting choices.
Bad: The over the top violence isn't for everyone. I especially thought the Red Skull murdering a child and having a wife murder her husband and then raped is a little disgusting even for me. I also can't seem to "like" anyone as everyone is kind of a asshole.
Overall fun and dumb, kind of Millar's way. It's not going to make you a fan of the Ultimates if didn't like them before, but I did, so this works. A 3 out of 5.

The loveless family is back! This is Teeg Lawless story now.
So Teeg is a asshole. We get to see him serve his jail time. Trust me, it doesn't do him any favors in the image department to who he was and why his kids are ruined. Then he gets out and you see just how much of a shitty person he really is to his family. One tale is mostly time in jail, second is about Tracey, our favorite loveless, is mostly focused on his 12 year old adventures around a town filled with secrets and his father.
Good: Love, love, LOVE the art as always. Sean is amazing. I also thought getting a bit background with Teeg made for a strong case and interesting look into his past. I liked the 2nd story a lot and it really hit home for me.
Bad: The comic stuff within the stories kind of felt tacked on. Unlike the two different looks in the last volume it felt very forced here. Wasn't a big fan sadly.
Overall a very solid entry. Not as amazing as the last but it's still great. A nice goodbye to a fantastic series though. I love you Ed and Sean! Never stop making comics. A 4 out of 5.

This is the Swan Song for Craig Kyle's X-Force run. Does it live up to his series, which was mostly good-great? Well...
Domino has done something bad. Without spoilers she's upset the guild and the hand at the same time. Wolverine gets involved in this and tus comes in the sex and violence. A lot of both, a lot of half naked people, and a lot of bloody deaths. By the end you actually do get the X-Force team coming in but not till the very very end.
Good: Really dug the fight scenes. Brutal, intense, and very very bloody. I also thought wolverine and domino together was pretty funny and good banter throughout. Nice and fast paced too so never boring.
Bad: The storyline is kind of one note heist style movie storyline. Just save the girl and kill everyone. So kind of lame there. I also thought the X-Force wasn't in it enough.
Overall this was a fun little end note to the X-Force run for Kyle. While not as amazing as the great moments in the series it still holds up as worth reading for fans of the series. A 3 out of 5.

Well the title works for sure. Hulk does hit his boiling point and it ain't pretty.
The first story starts off with Bruce stuck in a situation with a gunman trying to rob a place. Of course things get complicated, because they have to, and we find out Bruce is actually framed for a lot of the shit that occurs. Once that storyline finishes some of it leads to the next, which is told in a tad bit confusing way, but mostly talks about a vampire and Bruce and of course a main villain who is truly a piece of shit.
Good: The art is solid. Some really great, brutal, fight moments with the hulk. I also thought Bruce getting some good character development here. The ending also leads up to some interesting things.
Bad: The pacing could be a little stiff, taking too much time to get to the point. Also the storytelling might be confusing enough where people give up.
Overall this is a solid Jones read once more. He seems to really like the Hulk but he REALLY loves Bruce himself and it shines through. It's a darker take than one might expect but it works. A 3.5 out of 5.

Dark, political, and daring. This might be the best Ales Kot book I've read so far.
After our two main leads end their relationship after a terrible event we are seen with one helping the police and government while the other is set to destroy it. This is 2022, the world is a darker place than even now, racism and bigots are at a all time high in power, and the sides of war become darker and scarier. By the end we have betrayal at it's finest, questions, and a lot of "oh no..." moments that close out this great first act.
Good: Really dug the colors and art in here. It was especially great when panels began to play and flip from perspectives. I really enjoyed the backstory, and how sad it was, and how it played into the current events. Also, the ending...damn.
Bad: Sometimes it gets a bit long-winded in its message.
Overall this is a scary and fascinating look into the future, or what could be. I loved it. A 4 out of 5.

This was pretty great, and really sad, but sometimes sad stories make the best kind of stories.
So what is it about? It's a about a transsexual prostitute life and trying to do her best to make it. It's very brutal and honest so a lot of sexual acts are depicted as well as how tough it is to make it through the sex life. This is a slice of life, but what makes it unique is the profession and of course the lifestyle of our main character who is a transsexual which in itself is fascinating. Now this is obviously a dark tale, and a harsh life, and so I wasn't particularity ready for it's darkness but embraced it by the end.
Good: I really liked learning about the life of a prostitute. It's dark, sad, and it's not easy. It's also extremely interesting and a glimpse into it really made me understand it more. I also loved the happiness mixed in there, even if only for a few sections, gave a sense of freedom from the otherwise moody and twisted world presented, which is very similar to ours.
Bad: Not sure why we went with animals to showcase it. It was hard to distinguished who was who at time. I also thought it could be TOO bleak at times.
Overall a very gripping story. Though dark and hard to read through at times it was still freaking amazing. I think everyone should read it. I don't know if everyone will ENJOY it as much as me but I sure as heck did. A 4 out of 5.

Well we're at the half way mark. I have to finally say it after 7 full volumes...King has probably done my favorite Batman run of all time so far.
This is basically all leading up to Batman's big wedding day. We start with Booster Gold trying to give Batman a gift. As his usual self, he fucks up big time as always. Then we have Joker being very upset someone is getting married so he starts murdering people to get the Bat's attention. In comes Batman and then Catwoman. Then last arc is, well, the actual marriage!
Good: I really dug the whole arc with Booster Gold. I mean, if ever read about the dude, you know he'll correct the time. But this was a interesting look into Bruce's mind, a evil Catwoman, and more. This was easily my favorite part of the volume. I also enjoyed Joker and Cat's talk. Last but not least I dug the hell out of the wedding issue for most part. The letters were great but it was the touching moments with Alfred and such that made this better. Also, that ending....oh fuck.
Bad: The joker first part is a little...odd? It seems weird how Batman is acting. Also, to just do what he does is silly IMO. I also thought the images of all the different artist for Catwoman and Batman in issue 50 was odd choice at times.
Overall, King has made some remarkable arcs for Batman. I really love a lot of it. It started off Rocky but got better and better. I really hope his second half is as strong as his first. Another 4 out of 5.

Okay so alot more fighting in this volume. The strongest of the new team take o the big bad. This dude pretty much beats them all. Then one of the new team members fucks its giant face...no, not joking. He fucks it, cums, and the creature spits him away so he survives. Then mech man comes and it's basically gundam verse big fucking creature.
So yeah...fun but oh so stupid.

Well damn, Old Man's War has been such a great series and the 3rd book is just as good as the first and second for me.
So we go back to Perry. he's trying to live his new life with his wife, Jane, and his daughter, Zoe. Of course this peaceful times would eventually have to come to a halt. When the CDF recruits him to run a new planet he forces himself to agree along with his wife and daughter. However, when they do finally land on this new planet things go sideways quick. This is a story about survival, about running a society, and also about uncovering the universe in which Perry and his family live in and how to fix it or change it.
Good: I fucking love Perry. He's just so damn good. So interesting. So fun. He's like a everyday man who tries his hardest. I also enjoyed the hell out of a older Zoe, Jane was wonderful, and honestly the whole cast really hit home. The action was turned down here for more political warfare, and I really dug it. It made me keep switching back and forth to who's side I was on and why. The enemy here was interesting and a new take for the universe.
Bad: The werewolf plotline seemed a little out of nowhere and nothing really came from it except a few deaths. I got what it was going for but it needed to add more to the story.
Overall this was fantastic. A political fight for most of it, and when the action did come, it was very satisfying on top of it. I really am sad to say goodbye to John and his Wife but I'm kind of glad it ended here, in the way it did, to say goodbye in a natural and positive way. A 4.5 out of 5.
