Hulk: Boiling Point
by Bruce Jones
Well the title works for sure. Hulk does hit his boiling point and it ain't pretty.
The first story starts off with Bruce stuck in a situation with a gunman trying to rob a place. Of course things get complicated, because they have to, and we find out Bruce is actually framed for a lot of the shit that occurs. Once that storyline finishes some of it leads to the next, which is told in a tad bit confusing way, but mostly talks about a vampire and Bruce and of course a main villain who is truly a piece of shit.
Good: The art is solid. Some really great, brutal, fight moments with the hulk. I also thought Bruce getting some good character development here. The ending also leads up to some interesting things.
Bad: The pacing could be a little stiff, taking too much time to get to the point. Also the storytelling might be confusing enough where people give up.
Overall this is a solid Jones read once more. He seems to really like the Hulk but he REALLY loves Bruce himself and it shines through. It's a darker take than one might expect but it works. A 3.5 out of 5.
