Days of Hate Act One
by Aleš Kot
Dark, political, and daring. This might be the best Ales Kot book I've read so far.
After our two main leads end their relationship after a terrible event we are seen with one helping the police and government while the other is set to destroy it. This is 2022, the world is a darker place than even now, racism and bigots are at a all time high in power, and the sides of war become darker and scarier. By the end we have betrayal at it's finest, questions, and a lot of "oh no..." moments that close out this great first act.
Good: Really dug the colors and art in here. It was especially great when panels began to play and flip from perspectives. I really enjoyed the backstory, and how sad it was, and how it played into the current events. Also, the ending...damn.
Bad: Sometimes it gets a bit long-winded in its message.
Overall this is a scary and fascinating look into the future, or what could be. I loved it. A 4 out of 5.
