The book you need to read no matter where you’re at in life. It’s a tiny book filled with the biggest reminders of how wonderful you already and no matter the obstacles you face in perusing your dream, your joy in making it happen is all that matters. Also, Lauren Graham is the best and she always makes me feel better about myself.

trigger warning: loss of parent, plane crash, sexual assault, stalking

imagine having your eyes filled with tears and you can't blink until the very last page. Elizabeth Acevedo grabs your heart with every word and just holds onto it so tight. I bought this book the second it was released because Acevedo is one of the most amazing writers and I am always blown away by her stories. With losing my dad unexpectedly this book meant so much to me. please prepare yourself as much as you can when reading this one. I highly recommend everything Acevedo writes.

this book deserves a centerpiece in the middle of the table for real though.

It was so, so good and definitely one of my favs of the year. I loved Kya from the very first page and TATE, ugh!!

these characters were absolutely incredible and the descriptions and atmosphere of the book was just beyond.

I will rave about this one for a very long time and I highly encourage you to read this if you haven’t. I read along with the audiobook and the narrator did a phenomenal job on what I pictured the voice of Kya would be.

five stars through and through

I wasn’t impressed in the beginning. I couldn’t connect to any of the characters or really care too much about the story. But as it progressed the story got a bit more entertaining. I was hopeful for Codi and enjoyed to see how her story unfolded. There was a specific scene that made me smile and I think that alone gave it the extra star.

The writing of this book was remarkable. I absolutely loved the atmosphere, the descriptions, and the way things were just pronounced throughout the story. It’s enticing and very mysterious. Celine is a badass character. She’s a firecracker and no one is to mess with her! That was definitely exciting to read being that this book is set in the 1800s. I also felt a lot of vampire throughout the story so i was happy for that because a lot of the reviews said their wasn’t much of it.

This is probably closer to a 4.5 stars but I have a feeling the next one will be a solid 5. I’m intrigued to continue and will be picking the The Damned right away. Renee Ahdieh is my new favorite author this year, for sure.

This was creepier than I thought? Lol for a middle grade novel, i definitely had my heart beating a bit faster than normal lol. Maybe it’s because i haven’t really read a spooky book in a while? Lol or scarecrows are just really terrifying to me. Lol

Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a easy read with spookiness and friendship.

Maybe I'm not equipped to read classic novels because I didn't care for this one. Although there were some parts of this novel that were creepy, it wasn't enough for me. Eleanor's character would have to be my favorite though because she alone gave me weird vibes, but I definitely wanted more and I guess with all the talk on the TV show, I expected it to be a book I wouldn't be able to read at night time. I felt bored a little bit and I think overall, I'm not a good resource of answering if this is worth the read because there are so many good reviews about this but it just didn't work for me the way I wanted it to. I am going to start the show for my first time so I'm definitely intrigued to see how that differs and I have a feeling I will enjoy it a lot more.

The writing is just absolutely stunning.
I fell so deep into every chapter
And have highlighted almost every sentence.
I loved this one so much & can’t wait for the 3rd book.

Five bloody stars, through & through.

I promise reading The Beautiful is worth it just to get to this masterpiece. ❤️

loved this so much. - Cath is my favorite! & it was great to be back to seeing how Baz and Simon started ❤️ can’t wait for the next volumes!

There’s so much to say about both Dear Martin and Dear Justyce that truly won’t captive how real these stories are. I felt so much with both of these novels and could probably read from both of these characters perspectives in a 500+ page book.

These stories hold so much into such a short amount of pages and every single world is so damn important. I highly suggest you add both to your TBR.

Also, Quans letter to his dad broke me
