Thank you to St. Martins, Netgalley and the author for an advanced reader copy of this.

General description: Coley has to uproot her life after her mother's traumatic passing. Coley goes to live with her dad who's been absent her entire life. Coley has to escape the house and entires into the small town life. She turns into the cool crowd: SJ, Brooke, Trenton, Alex, and Sonya. Sonya and Coley have an instant connection that neither are particularly sure about wanting to explore or bring to the surface, but will their tumultuous relationship result in love or heartbreak?

The good:
- Fast paced
- I loved the group dynamic and found family vibes
- I was invested in Coley as a complex character and found her refreshing as a YA lead
- I love the representation that's in this book as well!

The loss of a star:
- The ending seemed extremely rushed. I was left with a ton of questions in an unsatisfying way. Honestly, if there is a sequel, I'd bump my rating up half a star knowing we'd be exploring Coley, Sonya, and the group even more.

Overall: pick this book up for a nice summer sapphic read!

3.5/5 stars.

General description: Jude is in exile, but she has to return to Faerie to defend her sister's reputation as Taryn is accused of killing Locke. Since Jude can lie, Taryn needs her help since Taryn did actually kill Locke. However, Jude returns as a war between Madoc and Cardan is brewing. Jude ends up behinds Madoc's lines, but what can she do in exile? Will Jude be able to help Cardan (does she want to) or will she stand by her foster father's side now that she's been exiled?

The good
- Fast paced
- I did like the amount of action!
- The villains of course are fantastic

The loss of a star and a half
- the main reason for the big hit for this book is I feel like book left a lot to be desired, between throwing in Grima Mog (who in the first two books I felt the she should have been mentioned) finally entering the Court of Teeth, there was either too much thrown into to this final book or I was lacking details. With Wicked King, we already knew about the Undersea and it was built upon in that book, but with Queen of Nothing, I feel like there could have been more worldbuilding and I was just forced to enjoy the ride instead of immersing myself in the world. I wish this could have had the extra 60 pages of the first book.

Overall: If you're read the first two,  may as well, but not as satisfying as a series ender.

4.5/5 Stars

General Description: Jude is now running the puppet government with Cardan at the head of it. However, the Undersea threatens the land. Can Jude handle the threat, or will Cardan step into a role he never thought he'd fill?

The good:
- In the first book, I felt there was a lot of court politics (which I like) to not very much action. This book had a wonderful blend of the two that I enjoyed
- Fast-paced and kept my attention.
- The enemies to lovers trope is REAL and I am here for it.
- The multitude of subplots were interesting, necessary, and I can't wait to follow them all into the third book.

The loss of a half star: almost too fast paced? I found myself re-reading sections because I thought I was missing details but the details were not clear? Otherwise I really enjoyed it.

Overall: If you read the first book, you should definitely keep going with the series :)

General Description: Jude is a human living in Faerie because of her mother's ex-husband (lover?) Madoc killed Jude's parents in the act of revenge. Jude, her twin Taryn, and older sister Vivienne (who is Madoc's child) must grow up in a completely different world. Humans in Faerie are seen as servants or used for pleasure, but Jude and Taryn are under Madoc's protection, well, from most dangers. Cardan, the youngest in the Royal Family, Valerian, Locke and Nicasia constantly pick on Taryn and Jude. However, Jude has had enough. She's a great fighter and gets recognized by Cardan's older brother and choice for the through: Dain. Jude must determine where her place is in Faerie, what to do with Cardan's crew, and if she can keep Taryn safe in the mean time. Can she handle it all?

The good:
- I personally love court politics and enjoyed the drama.
- I love a good villain and I feel they are written well.
- The twist and turns this book takes kept me engaged the entire time.
- I personally loved the world-building and the idea of a mortal trying to fit into this magical land.

The loss of a star:
- While I love court politics, I wish the balance between action and court politics was as little more even instead of so much court politics as it got muddled/slow

Overall: A great starter fantasy series if you like politics.

4.5/5 stars.

General description: We're put into Lucille during the time of monsters. There is constant protest, turmoil, and people of all ages fighting for their rights. Bitter wants no part in the danger, she's scared and wanted to remain in her school, as safe as she can be. But along the way, Bitter makes friends she cares about and when one of them gets hurt, Bitter uses her hardly explored power to accidentally release Vengence, a creature ready to hunt and remove monsters. Will Bitter stand up to Vengence to stop the violence, or will Vengence have their day and their way?

The good
- I loved the writing, enthralled in the story after the first few chapters.
- I enjoyed the backstory this gave to Pet, this was everything I wanted in the prequel.
- I loved each character Bitter met and felt real emotions during their troubles
- The twists? Didn't see them coming. Loved every second of them.

The lost of a half star: just a bit slow in the beginning.

Overall: Definitely read this if you liked Pet, or read it before you read Pet if you're interested, it feels like a true prequel!

Thank you to Sarah and the publisher for allowing me to listen to an advance copy of French Holiday.

4/5 stars.

General Description: Picture this- you are a bridesmaid in your sister's wedding (sweet) however she's marrying YOUR best friend and long time crush (not so sweet). Once they announce they are pregnant (very mixed feeling), you need a flight plan. Luckily, your godmother has the sweetest (in her opinion) chateau in France. Your godmother hasn't been to France to see the property, so you arrive to a dilapidated chateau, confusion, and of course your nemesis, who happened to be the best man in your sister's wedding. Can you say ROM COM in a book?! Wil the nemesis and you make it, or will you not make it out of France?

This is the story of Merry DeLuca and Noah Wright, if you're looking for a rom-com in book form, This is it.

The good:
- I loved ALL the characters.
- Everyone has growth.
- The emotions are REAL and you feel them.
- The quirky rom-com scenes made me laugh out loud.

The loss of a star:
- Honestly? Too many subplots! I just wanted to get back to Merry and Noah (in my opinion) but I was never bored, just anxious to get back to the main story.

Overall: If you're looking for a summer rom-com, here it is! Just be aware there is a lot going on.

I desperately wanted to enjoy this book based on the Libby holds and Tiktoks, but this book was not for me. I definitely went in with different expectations.

Description: How I saw this book advertised was a rom-com, 3 women (Sioban, Miranda and Jane) all fall for the same man, Joseph Carter. He stands them all up on Valentines day. Joseph wants to make it up to all 3 of them, but all 3 have different lives and drama they need to sort out. Will Joseph be able to handle all 3 relationships or will they fall apart? (again, this sounds like a rom-com plot, but it's DEFINITELY not). Definitely has sad vibes especially at the end.

The good:
- Twisty end
- I cared about Jane most of all, but in general all the women I cared about
- Had me in my feelings

The lost of 2 stars:
- Extremely slow paced in my opinion
- Could not feel invested because I personally did not like Joseph (until maybe the last 10% of the book)

Overall: Not a rom-com, very slow, but gets very good in the last 20% of the book.

General Description: We have three strong women (Maryse, Sadie, and Chef) who have the sight to see which Klan members are regular white men, women, or children OR if the members and Ku Klux's, demon monsters ready to destroy whatever are in their path. Maryse has a strange dream ahead of the Birth of a Nation showing at the original site of the Ku Klux's creation, there's something brewing that Maryse will need to face head-on while handling what happened in her past. Who will make it out alive?

The half star loss: I listened to this book and it was only 5.5 hours. I definitely wanted more. I feel like so many elements were introduced that I feel could have made this definitely a 10+ hour book that I would have gobbled up.

All the goodies:
- Maryse, Sadie, and Chef are FANTASTIC. I loved each of them.
- The historical elements blended with the fantasy was a masterful experience.
- The horror was spectacular. I definitely had chills and could not listen to this book when the sun set.
- The messaging of this book I felt was extremely powerful and again if there is more in this universe, I'd read it.

Overall: If you can handle horror, definitely pick up this book!

PLEASE check content warnings before reading this book.

I cannot explain the connection and feeling this book gave me. I would highly recommend everyone look to up see if they will feel comfortable enough to read this book. The book will have uncomfortable moments no matter what, but as long as nothing will lead you to be in a bad headspace based on the trigger warnings, I think everyone should read this.

Description: Graciela (Ciela) has the magic of knowing exactly what pastry someone wants when they step into her store. However, after a sexual assault, Ciela lost her gift and gainst the sight of mirrored shards all around her. The mirrored shards appear small at first and Ciela hides them. But soon they're getting harder to hide. While she was being assaulted, so was a boy in the next room. Once that boy (Lock) enrolls in her school, she has to navigate what happened to her and him that night. Once she begins to unravel her emotions, her gift begins to come back, but the mirrored shards are still around. Will Ciela ever get her full gift back and be scared of the shards, or will the memories of that night haunt her with no resolution?

ALL the goodies:
- Again, this is the most emotion and feeling I've felt in this book. I think because the author explains that their story mirrors this one, I could feel each individual emotion the author laid out: sadness, hope, anger, etc.
- I liked Lock and Ciela as characters, and Ciela's best friend.
- The magic was accessible and easily digestible as metaphors (to me).
- Fast paced book, could NOT put down.

Overall: If you check the content warnings and feel comfortable reading, read ahead!

Description: Jeremy is ready to be Homecoming King. While Jeremy thought they'd be homecoming queen, once Jeremy realizes their true self, he runs to it in full force and wants the entire school on board with him. Jeremy's biggest competition? His ex of 3 years: Lukas. Lukas has autism but no one knows except Jeremy. As Lukas explores his place in his family after the loss of his brother, Lukas believes winning homecoming king would solve all of his problems. However, the two can't both be king and find themselves attempting to sabotage each other. Who will come out on top, who gets hurt along the way, and who truly discovers themselves in this novel?

The star loss: There are two reasons that went into the loss of a star for this book
1) I am unsure of the autism representation and I am unsure how accurate it is based on multiple other Goodreads reviews.
2) The end got a bit out of the YA realism world and into some fantastical elements that didn't align with the rest of the book.

All the goodies:
- As a former high school teacher, I thought Jeremy and Lukas could easily be students in my class.
- The side characters (minus Philip of course) have my heart.
- Fast paced, engaging with multiple storylines to follow.
- A raw, honest reflection happens for Jeremy and Lukas when they have their introspective moments that I loved.
- The general story idea of competing for homecoming king was fun and balanced with the serious moments of self-discovery.

Overall: If you can handle the snarky teen characters, you should enjoy the book!
