4.5/5 stars.

General Description: We have three strong women (Maryse, Sadie, and Chef) who have the sight to see which Klan members are regular white men, women, or children OR if the members and Ku Klux's, demon monsters ready to destroy whatever are in their path. Maryse has a strange dream ahead of the Birth of a Nation showing at the original site of the Ku Klux's creation, there's something brewing that Maryse will need to face head-on while handling what happened in her past. Who will make it out alive?

The half star loss: I listened to this book and it was only 5.5 hours. I definitely wanted more. I feel like so many elements were introduced that I feel could have made this definitely a 10+ hour book that I would have gobbled up.

All the goodies:
- Maryse, Sadie, and Chef are FANTASTIC. I loved each of them.
- The historical elements blended with the fantasy was a masterful experience.
- The horror was spectacular. I definitely had chills and could not listen to this book when the sun set.
- The messaging of this book I felt was extremely powerful and again if there is more in this universe, I'd read it.

Overall: If you can handle horror, definitely pick up this book!
