General Description: Jude is now running the puppet government with Cardan at the head of it. However, the Undersea threatens the land. Can Jude handle the threat, or will Cardan step into a role he never thought he'd fill?

The good:
- In the first book, I felt there was a lot of court politics (which I like) to not very much action. This book had a wonderful blend of the two that I enjoyed
- Fast-paced and kept my attention.
- The enemies to lovers trope is REAL and I am here for it.
- The multitude of subplots were interesting, necessary, and I can't wait to follow them all into the third book.

The loss of a half star: almost too fast paced? I found myself re-reading sections because I thought I was missing details but the details were not clear? Otherwise I really enjoyed it.

Overall: If you read the first book, you should definitely keep going with the series :)
