Description: Ben is finally getting the opportunity to present a marketing plan to a big agency, and Anna Gardner happens to be in the room during his presentation. Anna is the focus of the campaign, and Ben is able to get the job because of Anna's endorsement. Now the two go from working professionals to something more when Anna needs help with a family situation. However, will they be able to be together while Anna is in the spotlight?

The good
- This is a bonus but my name is Anna, my husband's name is Ben, so I do like this name pairing the best out of any books.
- As always, the Jasmine Guillory formula sucks me in. I love the romance, the meeting, the miscommunication. All of it.
- I appreciated SOME of the over the top celebrity related scenarios.
- I feel like this was very separate from the wedding date series, even though it was the last book, and I actually liked the focus on the couple vs focusing on the connection to the other books in the series.
- Ben and Anna were great characters and I loved the depth of learning about Anna's family.

The loss of a half star:
- While I did like some over the top celebrity related scenarios, I did not like them all and it made the book feel like realistic compared to some of Jasmine's other books and I did not like that.

Overall: If you've read the other five books, definitely pick this one up. Or you could start with this one! However, you will be a little spoiled for another book in the series if you do. :)

Description: Sam Masur runs into Sadie Green one day in NYC. These folks who had a friendship as kids rekindle their relationship by deciding to make a video game today. This video game does better than either of them were anticipating. Can they handle the empire that is about to be built before them, or will they crumble again, just as they did when they were kids?

The good:
- I think the concept was interesting, especially as someone who likes to play video games.
- The emotion is definitely felt in this book and you feel extremely connected to the characters.
- I thought the description of the games were amazing and I wish I could play all of them.

The not as good:
- The lack of a clear timeline throughout the entire book. I will say, I did listen to the audiobook and would definitely not recommend that. The constant format changes I'm thinking would have been better in a physical book format. This formatting really took away from enjoying the book for me, which is why I'm taking off two stars for this.

General Description: Jade needs money for college. In order to get this money, she agrees to work on her dad's website for his newly restored house in Vietnam that he plans to rent out to travelers. Jade does not like her father, so this is a big deal for her. However, as Jade spends more time in the house, she realizes that there is a history the house is trying to share, and it's a dangerous one. Will Jade be able to save those she cares about from the house, or will the house consume everyone?

The good:
- I loved the descriptions of all the spooky aspects, the landscape, and the house.
- The entire concept kept me interested while reading.
- I overall liked Jade as a character and appreciated her growth.

The loss of a star and a half:
- Overall, for me, this was just slow. Even when more action-filled scenes would happen, it just felt slow. I don't think it's necessarily bad, but I don't like reading slower-paced books.

Overall: If you're looking for a faster-paced story, this is not the book for you. But if you appreciate slow-burn mystery/horror books, this will be right up your alley!

Description: If someone told you you had been living the same day over and over again, would you believe them? Because after Jack and Gemma crash into each other in a coffee shop, Jack reveals they've met before but Gemma has no memory of this. What type of loop are they stuck in? How can Gemma get out? Will they be able to get out of it or will Gemma forget all of this tomorrow?

The good:
- I think the story was refreshing, a unique romance story that I haven't read before (even though there are familiar tropes).
- The science part behind it was interesting.
- I do like all the characters in this book, and the characters who are written to be awful were written very well
- There is a major plot twist that I did not see coming. After that twist, I was completely invested in the book.

The loss of a star:
- As mentioned above, there is a plot twist I loved. However, this does not happen until 1/3 of the way through the book. The first 1/3 I found slow and honestly didn't see from that first 1/3 how this could be a full-length book. Due to that slower beginning, that's why I took a star off.

Overall: If you get to the plot twist and still don't like it, I'd DNF. However, if the plot twist compels you to keep reading as it compelled me, I think you'll really enjoy the book!

General Description: Throw a pin and go anywhere, that's what Grace Evans does to go on vacation. She stays in an open room with Calvin Wells, and honestly it goes mysterious from the start. The entire town seems to be against Grace, except Calvin, who doesn't want to let her go. Will Grace be able to get out of a creepy situation, or be stuck there?

The decent:
- I did appreciate one of the twists.
- The creepy vibes were definitely there.

The not so decent:
- I feel like if you are a fan of true crime and know at least a moderate amount of infamous true crime cases, you will be able to predict this entire book. I did and it fell flat for me.
- While I did appreciate the creepy vibes, I also did not understand them. It's a love-hate deal.
- There was just a random plot that started halfway through the book and it threw off the entire book for me.

Overall: If you are a Jeneva Rose fan, I think you'll like this; however, if you aren't, I wouldn't start with this one.

General Description: Who better to star in a wholesome holiday movie than an adult entertainer and a former teenage bad boy? No? Not your ideal cast? Well, that's who's set to star in the latest wholesome Christmas film. Does the director know the histories of the 2 stars? Only one. Nolan Shaw is a well-known bad boy trying to clean up his image. He was supposed to star with someone new, but Bee Hobbs has to step in. Bee had been a fan of Nolan for years, and Nolan had subscribed to Bee's private channel for the past 3 years. Can they keep their attraction under wraps and clean on set, or will the entire film blow up in everyone's face?

The good:
- I do like Bee's character a lot! She's one of my favorites
- I did get a lot of rom-com vibes.
- The spice scenes were good for someone who does not read a lot of spice.
- The side characters were hilarious a good portion of the time.

The loss of a star: I understand the director was supposed to be kind of spacy to everything, but EVERY ADULT not knowing about Bee/Nolan's relationship? Nope. I just don't believe it and feel like it was a little dense/hard to read those scenes where the adults just act like they noticed the paint drying on the wall vs what's going on with Bee/Nola.

Overall: A sweet spicy read that I enjoyed. I would definitely recommend this if you're looking for mild spice and a christmas-y book!

General Description: Could you imagine your boss following you to your hometown? That's what happens to Florence. After meeting her new boss, Benji, she's called home after her dad has a heart attack and she starts to see Benji. See, Florence can see ghosts and Benji got hit by a car, dying in the process and showing up where Florence now believes she must help him cross over. Now Benji and Florence both have to work together, but will they both be able to accept their new lives to want to stay in the past?

The good:
- I did cry, but not from the main storyline, from a side story line involving flowers, so I was clearly invested in this book.
- I appreciated the rom-com vibes of this book and it felt very fresh to read!
- The side stories were beautiful and added depth to the story.
- The side characters being involved were also wonderful, such good vibes.

The loss of a half star: The first 1.5 hours was just slow. I don't know if I would have read it faster, I did listen to an audiobook version of this which helped, but still found it slow.

Overall: If you like rom-coms, YES pick this up! I don't think you'll regret it.

Description: How far would you go to find out who murdered your sister? In Emilia's case, she's willing to work with the devil to find out. Well, not quite the devil, but one of the seven wicked: Wrath. Emilia, as a witch, is not supposed to interact with the Wicked in any capacity, but she's desperate and who better to help her than Wrath to find what happened to her murdered sister? Emilia unwraps more than she was expecting, but is she dancing too close with the Wicked to get back to herself, or will she herself turn wicked?

The good:
- The world building was very interesting
- I loved the mystery of it all
- I thought it was a pretty quick read, keeping me engaged most of the time, until the bad start.

The 1.5 loss of star: Emilia's character arc for me was terrible. I couldn't start the 2nd book for a month because her personality became so insufferable.

Overall: I wish the character arc of Emilia was different, but I don't think it was a horrible book. If you like fantasy, you could like this, but again, Emilia just became so annoying I'm not really sure who could like her after book 1.

General Description: What if you met someone on a roof right before you were about to jump off? Violet and Finch meet during this situation. Their relationship grows from there as they partner up for an exploration of Indiana's wonder spots for a school project. Their relationship is tumultuous, especially as Violet handles the grief of losing her sister and Finch's mental health, but will they better each other?

The good:
- Fairly quick paced
- I really loved all the sweet moments this book had to offer
- The scenery and adventure of this book was great.

The not so good:
- One star is lost due to the mental health representation. I do not trust Jennifer Niven's representation of anything after Holding Up the Universe.
- Another star is lost due to the parents' actions in this book. They were extremely frustrating and conflicting throughout the book.

Overall: It was a good book, but tbh, the movie was also pretty good and I think fairly accurate so you could go either way :)

Description: Libby was dubbed "America's Fattest Teen" when she had to be cut out of her house. After years of recovery, Libby heads back to public school, where she gets targeted in Fat Girl Rodeo by Jack. Jack has prosopagnosia (cannot recognize/remember faces) but hasn't told anyone about it. This both focuses on both of these teens growing as people and growing together.

The good:
- Libby's letter is the only part I somewhat liked, but that's literally it.

The bad:
- I did not appreciate the representation in the book, I felt like it wasn't deep and just fed into stereotypes.
- I have struggled with weight and this was just upsetting to read how the unhealthy relationship with food (when Libby would mention not eating) was brushed under the rug.
- Jack's refusal to get his prosopagnosia out to at least his family who he has a generally good relationship with (minus his dad) was bugging me the whole time.
- There is an affair storyline that I also just felt gross about.

Overall: read at your own risk. I personally regret this, but to each their own.
