General Description: Could you imagine your boss following you to your hometown? That's what happens to Florence. After meeting her new boss, Benji, she's called home after her dad has a heart attack and she starts to see Benji. See, Florence can see ghosts and Benji got hit by a car, dying in the process and showing up where Florence now believes she must help him cross over. Now Benji and Florence both have to work together, but will they both be able to accept their new lives to want to stay in the past?
The good:
- I did cry, but not from the main storyline, from a side story line involving flowers, so I was clearly invested in this book.
- I appreciated the rom-com vibes of this book and it felt very fresh to read!
- The side stories were beautiful and added depth to the story.
- The side characters being involved were also wonderful, such good vibes.
The loss of a half star: The first 1.5 hours was just slow. I don't know if I would have read it faster, I did listen to an audiobook version of this which helped, but still found it slow.
Overall: If you like rom-coms, YES pick this up! I don't think you'll regret it.
