General Description: Jade needs money for college. In order to get this money, she agrees to work on her dad's website for his newly restored house in Vietnam that he plans to rent out to travelers. Jade does not like her father, so this is a big deal for her. However, as Jade spends more time in the house, she realizes that there is a history the house is trying to share, and it's a dangerous one. Will Jade be able to save those she cares about from the house, or will the house consume everyone?

The good:
- I loved the descriptions of all the spooky aspects, the landscape, and the house.
- The entire concept kept me interested while reading.
- I overall liked Jade as a character and appreciated her growth.

The loss of a star and a half:
- Overall, for me, this was just slow. Even when more action-filled scenes would happen, it just felt slow. I don't think it's necessarily bad, but I don't like reading slower-paced books.

Overall: If you're looking for a faster-paced story, this is not the book for you. But if you appreciate slow-burn mystery/horror books, this will be right up your alley!
