I literally got through this book in ONE day! And let me tell you, I couldn’t put it down.
So we have our main character Stella who I personally related to her character on many levels. I thought she was pretty interesting to read about, and a sweet sister.
I loved ‘The Heartbreakers’ too, mainly because of their light humor, and their friendship with Stella.
The ‘plot twist’ in the ending is too dramatic in my personal opinion, but I think the epilogue thawed (I don’t know?) nicely making the book even more worth reading.
Although the book is quite cliché and a bit fast paced, I personally love it so much. One of my favorite novels and Ali Novak is one of my favorite authors.

I’m a blubbering mess and I can’t stop myself.
⚠️ TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️ - DEPRESSION, SUICIDE, SUICIDAL THOUGHTS, ANXIETY, GRIEF, UNDERAGE DRINKING AND SMOKING, PHYSICAL AND VERBAL ABUSE, BIPOLAR DISORDER, DEATH, MENTIONS OF SEXUAL ACTIVITY -
All the Bright Places is a captivating, memorable, grieve able, sad, heartwarming, and heart wrenching, debut novel about a boy and girl dealing with loss, grief, depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and life in general.
I bought this book in late July and decided to pick it up in early August. For some reason, I put it down and never picked up again until about a day ago. And let me tell you, I’m not disappointed
The story follows Violet Markey and Theodore Finch (Finch), working on a school project to discover Indiana. They meet before Finch jumps off a bell tower, and develop an unlikely friendship, which leads to a unlikely, and forbidden romance.
Niven’s writing is beautiful, eccentric and so vividly descriptive. I understood everything she was writing about, and her representations within the characters, and disorders they had was ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL. Never in my life have I read a book where I felt like I was represented in the anxiety department. But, the anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts was everything YOU NEED TO SEE WHEN YOU WRITE ABOUT THOSE THINGS.
I loved the character development within both sides of the characters. At the beginning Violet was dealing with the loss of her sister Eleanor Markey, and she had no one to talk to. She gave up everything including cheerleading, being popular, having friends, and most importantly WRITING. At the beginning Finch was going through the motions of things and was obviously depressed. But within time these characters got better and worse. And I loved the character development (EVEN IF IT WAS HEART BREAKING)
Finally, the book deals with such big topics, yet it’s done so well. Their really isn’t a way to describe on it and ponder, but it’s just done so amazing and I can just feel the grief and loss and things these characters are going through as I read.
(And also, can we all agree that Violet Markey and Theodore Finch were an ABSOLUTE SHIP?

3rd read
It's 2:30 in the morning, and instead of going to bed what am I doing? Well writing a review for one of the most popular books on Goodreads of course! What else would I be doing? Sleeping? Pff sleep is for wimps am I right, or am I right? I'm sorry you had to read that. Anyways, hi so welcome to my mind at 2:30 AM where I impulsively write reviews instead of sleeping. Today we'll be talking about Twilight, probably one of my favorite books of all time.
The first time I read this book I was in 3rd grade. Yes, you heard me right I was probably in 3rd grade. My mom never monitored what I read, and even when she did, she rarely gave 2 shits. I remember I saw the first Twilight movie when I was really, really young, probably only like 5 and that was a few years after it came out. So I decided to read the book. It took me like a month to read back then, but I did it and I remember loving it. I then reread Twilight again when I was in about 6th grade I'd say? I remember understanding what was going on much more clearly, and now I've read it again.
And I love it.
I've always loved these books and movies, but never to this extent. I loved this book mainly because of the nostalgia it gave me, and the memories I have watching the movies with my mom. Plus I've always had a thing for Edward.
I don't know, maybe guys that climb into my window and watch me sleep are just my thing? (I hope you all know I'm kidding). But I do still really enjoy Edward's character for some reason. He's not as brooding as he was in the movies, but yet he's just better
And yes Bella is bland. Her only personality traits are her mommy issues, her love for Edward, and how much she likes books ( we don't really see that anyways), but I think again it's nostalgia that makes me like her. And I've never realized this till this time, but she asks way to many questions.
Also I've realized, book Edward is far better than movie Edward.
Hopefully I can get into rereading [b: New Moon|49041|New Moon (Twilight, #2)|Stephenie Meyer|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1361039440l/49041._SY75_.jpg|3203964] this week, but I remember really not liking that one so we shall see.

I love this book so much. And the ending was EVERYTHING - Review to Come
I'm dnfing this for now. No I don't hate Sandersons work I fact I love mistborn, but I just can't read fantasy right now. Some stuff is happening in my family right now and everything with COVID-19, I'm genuinely not in the right headspace to read this. When I'm feeling better about everything I'm definitely gamma pick this back up (:
⚠️ Trigger Warnings - Attempted Rape, and Violence (obviously cause like vampires)
So I read this book once back in the 5th grade (probably) because of my obsession with TVD, and from what I remember, I loved it. Of course I was a 5th grader and didn’t understand the difference between a good book and a bad book.
This is the book that the acclaimed ‘The Vampire Diaries’ show was made from, and I wanted to reread this book to see if I still liked it as much as my 10 year old self did. Alas, past me, I did not.
I’m sure we all know what TVD is about. It’s about a girl called Elena Gilbert who just lost her parents and is now dealing with the loss and her stupid teenage brother Jeremy, while being under the care of her Aunt Jenna. She meets a boy called Stefan Salvatore but he has a mighty secret.
That’s basically the book too but a few different changes. Elena is blonde, super popular, and lost her parents a few years before the book starts. She has a younger sister whose about 5 or 6 named Mellisa (I think?) and her Aunt is called something else. Everything else is pretty similar.
But what I didn’t like about this book was the girl on girl hate between Caroline and Elena. In the show their best friends, and in the book they are literally mortal enemies and I think the words ‘slut’ are used.
And the way Elena and Stefan fell in love, is not passing the vibe check. First they’ve talked to each other like 2 or 3 times and then they are like “I love you Stefan” and “oh Elena I love you too” like I understand the book was written in the 80s or early 90s but yikes.
And I hate Damon in the books too. Plus their is also attempted r@pe in here and I wasn’t given a trigger warning so

Before we get into this short (and shitty) review, I just want to say that I in no way support the recent racism Jay Kristoff has showed and been exposed for on Twitter! However, my grandparents gifted me this entire series for Christmas a few years back, and I feel weird having this books on my shelf and not reading them! And, if I do ever read anything else from Jay Kristoff besides the Illuminae Files, I will 100% be checking them out from the library (and you will be able to find them under the “library book” tag). Anyways, that’s all I wanted to say, let’s just get into this review lol.
This book had its issues, but I think the audiobook really saved this for me. I tried to read this physically a few years back (first review is still down below but it’s cringe lol), and couldn’t get into it, however I thought this was a solid read this time around. Even though I gave this a 3.5 star, this book reminded me why I really like sci-fi (even though I haven’t read it in so long whoops), especially space operas.
I will say the first 30%-40% were kind of confusing and boring (which was where I DNF’ed last time) but I was pretty invested after that. Ending was a bit long, but the audiobook for this was absolutely incredible. Probably in my top 3 best narrated audiobooks I’ve ever read tbh. It almost sounded like I was listening to Star Wars, with a full narrated cast, explosive sound effects, call sound effects, voice overs, ect. It was amazing
Also the very very end made me really want to continue on with book 2, so hopefully I’ll listen to that next month.

First DNF
I read this awhile ago with my friend Alli, and we both Dnfed it. It wasn't my or her cup of tea. Not that the idea of the book wasn't good, because it caught my attention right away, but I just have the attention span of a fish, and I was getting really bored. Still a pretty cool idea though, and the characters were interesting enough.

I really don’t know why I didn’t read Percy Jackson earlier but I love it. The story is so unique and different to anything I’ve read, and it was nice to finally have an MC that was closer to my age range (kinda).
Annabeth and Percy are adorable and their probably one of my biggest ships of all time, and the trio is absolutely amazing. I love this book and excited to continue with the Percy Jackson series!
