abinthebooks 's review for:

Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
5.0

3rd read

It's 2:30 in the morning, and instead of going to bed what am I doing? Well writing a review for one of the most popular books on Goodreads of course! What else would I be doing? Sleeping? Pff sleep is for wimps am I right, or am I right? I'm sorry you had to read that. Anyways, hi so welcome to my mind at 2:30 AM where I impulsively write reviews instead of sleeping. Today we'll be talking about Twilight, probably one of my favorite books of all time.

The first time I read this book I was in 3rd grade. Yes, you heard me right I was probably in 3rd grade. My mom never monitored what I read, and even when she did, she rarely gave 2 shits. I remember I saw the first Twilight movie when I was really, really young, probably only like 5 and that was a few years after it came out. So I decided to read the book. It took me like a month to read back then, but I did it and I remember loving it. I then reread Twilight again when I was in about 6th grade I'd say? I remember understanding what was going on much more clearly, and now I've read it again.

And I love it.

I've always loved these books and movies, but never to this extent. I loved this book mainly because of the nostalgia it gave me, and the memories I have watching the movies with my mom. Plus I've always had a thing for Edward.
I don't know, maybe guys that climb into my window and watch me sleep are just my thing? (I hope you all know I'm kidding). But I do still really enjoy Edward's character for some reason. He's not as brooding as he was in the movies, but yet he's just better

And yes Bella is bland. Her only personality traits are her mommy issues, her love for Edward, and how much she likes books ( we don't really see that anyways), but I think again it's nostalgia that makes me like her. And I've never realized this till this time, but she asks way to many questions.

Also I've realized, book Edward is far better than movie Edward.

Hopefully I can get into rereading [b: New Moon|49041|New Moon (Twilight, #2)|Stephenie Meyer|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1361039440l/49041._SY75_.jpg|3203964] this week, but I remember really not liking that one so we shall see.
