Well researched. May was able to keep me interested and I read this pretty quickly. The only downfall, is that a small portion was about the creation of her novel "Frankenstein," I was hoping for a bit more. Showed the lives of Mary Wollstonecraft Godwin Shelley and Percy Bysshe Shelley in a honest, well-rounded way with their ups but mostly struggles they endured.

Recommend.

Author does list all the sources she used at the end.

Finally finished! Excellent "concise" history of Russia in 700 pages. It ends when Putin becomes President in 2000. It was really interesting to read and recognized the on going issues that each ruler had in control, and expanding the Soviet Union.

I was going to give it 4 stars but the ending was wrapped up too nicely and most of the action happening between the lines. The originals there was always action (from what I remember) up to the end and this book the ending felt forced and too neat.

Overall, good thriller but not as good as the originals. I felt that Salander and Blomkvist were not the main characters. At the beginning of the book you have high hopes but they tend to play second fiddle to the rest of the story, not sure if it is because of the number of characters.

Good, recommend for a good mystery. Salander and Blomkvist "spirit" is missing and that can only come from the Stieg Larsson's mind. Salander and Blomkvist names could be switched with completely different characters and there wouldn't be a lot of change needed - a few sentences here and there.

Arc from Netgalley for a honest review.

Decent, but like another reviewer said, the artwork kept making the 20/30 something Sidekicks looking older as the story went on. Not sure why. Decent story about sidekicks not feeling appreciated and striking.

I liked Freedom and The Corrections. This one - no. I mean there was a good novel in there - somewhere. Too many points of views and time shifts - they are on purpose to keep with the unevenness of the novel. I get the structure. What I didn't get was the wordage, bloating and the unnecessary subplots. Again, I understand they are on purpose, but the novel didn't flow. I couldn't sit for long periods of time and read. I had to read in chunks.
