xennicole 's review for:
The Girl in the Spider's Web
by David Lagercrantz
I was going to give it 4 stars but the ending was wrapped up too nicely and most of the action happening between the lines. The originals there was always action (from what I remember) up to the end and this book the ending felt forced and too neat.
Overall, good thriller but not as good as the originals. I felt that Salander and Blomkvist were not the main characters. At the beginning of the book you have high hopes but they tend to play second fiddle to the rest of the story, not sure if it is because of the number of characters.
Good, recommend for a good mystery. Salander and Blomkvist "spirit" is missing and that can only come from the Stieg Larsson's mind. Salander and Blomkvist names could be switched with completely different characters and there wouldn't be a lot of change needed - a few sentences here and there.
