I'll be honest the whole accidental pregnancy/secret pregnancy is not usually my jam but I devoured this book. If you were to become pregnant from a hot one night stand, Paul is the type of man that you hope would be the dad.
Sarah went through it. I mean really went through some really traumatic things in her life and to then be blackmailed by one of Paul's teammates, my heart was breaking for her so much while reading. I loved watching her get her strength, grit and color back in her world due to Paul and everything he did for her. It was so heartwarming.
Paul, ahhhhh this man, this man is everything. He knew there was something with Sarah from there one night but since he had no idea her name he was trying soooo hard to find her, until she popped up back into his life unexpectedly and he knew from that moment of 2 things. 1. He had to make her hisand 2. She was keeping something from him. He is sweet, attentive, caring, possessive and everything you want in a man. He consistently showed Sarah that he would never leave no matter what. also the mouth on this man 🥵

I loved these two so much. They have both been through hell and back and have survived. They are both so strong.

From the time they met there was an instant spark between the two. Holden cashes in on an IOU from years prior and has Lexi move in and help with his kids.
Everything between these was hot. Their banter, their chemistry, their passion just everything. Watching these two fall in love was so sweet. They thought they were just keeping it casual but of course as with any other casual things, feelings became involved and they fell in love.
Holden's children, Lori and Harry, were a hilarious addition to the story. Between their pre-teen angst and attitude and their pranks, they kept them all on their toes.
Really looking forward to Summer's story next!

This was a cute story and I loved how they were for each other no questions asked whatsoever but I do have some complaints.
I was really frustrated alot during the book. How are they best friends but hook up only when drunk and then don't talk about it for so long?!?!!?!! Ummm huh 🤔 I did not like that we didn't get Bentley's parents reaction when it was built up so much, we got everyone everyone. I felt like that was just as important to the overall story as the others reactions.but we have to subscribe to somewhere else in order to get it. I mean I get it from the authors standpoint but it was a major ick.

the coffee shop is a tight knit family so is was nice seeing that dynamic. The exploration of the kink for Micah was a bit on the light side as well as all of the BDSM/kink moments. I was hoping it would be more but much like Parker and Micah relationship it was on the light side.

What a doozy of a trip Nova and Rosa took us on.
Nova and Rosa are forced into a marriage to settle a decade long dispute between their families. The amount of tension from the beginning is so strong that you could feel it while reading. The tension only gets stronger as Nova makes it clear that it is strictly an obligation and will be nothing more than that, no matter what. (don't we just love when a MMC says that when we know by the end of the book, he will be signing a different tune and groveling for forgiveness)
Rosa is such a fiery spirit and makes sure that Nova knows that she will not just bow down to him and be a pawn in his games. The pranks and banter escalated the longer they were married until something snapped and Nova wanted more from Rosa than just being a pawn.
Nova from the beginning was ruthless, conniving and heartless. Things began to shift with him when he realized how resilient and strong Rosa was. Watching him go from vindictive and spiteful to vulnerable and sweet at times was great growth for him to be man that Rosa would want to stay married to.
The characters had amazing growth, both as individuals and definitely as a strong couple, the plot was both angst filled but also had moments of vulnerability and sweetness, the family rivalry added more depth to the characters as they tried to navigate the rivalry while coming to terms with their feelings with each other as they grew stronger. and the chemistry between them, it was insane 🔥

She was such a bright happy spot that had me smiling every time she made an appearance.
This had me guessing the entire time and once I thought I figured everything out, a twist was thrown in and had me second guessing everything.

I wanted to enjoy this more than I did but it was just ok for me.
I like Derek and Briar together and I loved Briar but Derek really got on my nerves for a good portion of the book. He was so stubborn and stuck in his ways and his reasonings made very little sense. I understand being in the closet but his why, made no sense to me and the push and pull and secrecy was unnecessary.
The plot lacked greatly and the 3rd act climax was soooooo late in the book that it felt rushed to be resolved and felt like it was placed to be that last push for Derek but I just felt it threw the book off having it happen so close to the ending.
Their relationship had absolutely no growth, how did they go from being in a super small town where everyone knows everyone but have never actually met, to meeting up three times to oh my god i love and am willing to change everything about myself 🙄🥴 it just doesn't make sense

From the dedication alone I was sucked in and knew I was going to love the book. I LOVE a good bully romance where you just hate the MMC but then he wins you over as you read it, Mason was that times 1000000.

Leslie is so sweet but feisty at the same time. The way she wouldn't bow down to Mason but held her head high and gave as good as she got. The banter between the two was 🤌🏼 I loved all the pining, groveling and everything Mason did to win over Leslie after all of the mess he made. I enjoyed seeing how the two were separate from each other but the two of them together... explosive!!!!
