What a fantastic start to a new series. This original, superbly crafted story ticks all the boxes for a 5 star paranormal romance and the author absolutely nailed it. I was fully engaged from the first page and it flowed so well that it was a one sitting read that I couldn’t put down.
There’s amazing, complex world building so that you immediately feel pulled into this believable society of paranormal species.
Sam and grumpy Gideon are so very likeable with buckets of chemistry that leads immediately to a very hot and steamy moment. Then there’s a nice slow burn before more heat, with sweet and tender times and of course, after a few surprising twists and turns, a HEA.
The cast of wonderfully interesting side characters added so much to the reading experience and left the door open for more in the series.
This is an amazing read with a good balance of romance, intrigue, drama and humour. I cannot wait for the next instalment.

Fabulous sunshine vampire/grumpy vampire romance.

I couldn’t help but fall in love with Alexi and Claude who are just so opposite but so good together. Claude is full of sunshine that even his unique taste in clothing reflects that, whereas Alexi only wears black, is stubborn (sometimes just for the sake of it) and short tempered.
This is definitely not an instant attraction romance but Claude is forever optimistic and eventually Alexi cannot help but have the occasional small smile on his face. When Alexi finally lets his walls down, these two wonderful characters turn the heat up and embrace the quirks each other has.
Their story had me laughing out loud one minute then feeling heart sore for Alexi the next. Another fantastic instalment in the VRC series that I couldn’t put down and I highly recommend it if you’re after an original, well crafted plot with humour, a bit of action and drama all alongside a romance that develops into a well earned HEA.

A beautiful romance that’s full of mischief.

Ravi is such a fun character. He’s full of pranks, wit, impulsive mischievous moments combined with undying love and loyalty to his King and clan.
Sora is a very experienced mage and is a nice balance to Ravi. He is more serious but enjoys Ravi’s shenanigans. Together they are the perfect complement to each other and each provide unparalleled benefits to the clan. They begin courting and their chemistry and heat levels rise even though some of the dates don’t go as planned!
The overall story arc with the Jaeggi continues and lends some drama to the plot.
I loved every moment of this book and couldn’t put it down. There’s some twists and turns in this well crafted romance, a bit of angst and a dash of drama to balance the silliness and fun that is pure Ravi.

This writing duo have produced a beautifully crafted, engaging romance with two well developed and likeable main characters that had me turning the pages desperate to read more.
Ranger is a veteran who has PTSD and this is portrayed with such sensitivity. He can be a bit of a grump which is in contrast to the happy, cheerful, quirky natured Julian.

Their paths cross and so begins a friendship that later morphs into some very hot and steamy moments. This is a low angst read so there are no roadblocks for them to negotiate on the way to their HEA. Maybe just some crazy loveable animals interrupting at an in opportune time! Said animals providing some great laugh out loud moments.

I found this to be a very enjoyable read with a dash of drama to balance the humour and a plot line that left a smile on my face.
