Great start to new series.

This is a very enjoyable slow burn age gap romance with two wonderful main characters, Finn and Joel.
Joel is recently divorced and finally living his authentic life as an out gay man. Finn is a builder who crushes on Joel every time he sees him walking his dog.
Circumstances bring them together and their slow burn romance begins. The chemistry between them takes its time to ignite but once it does the heat levels certainly rise.
This is minimal angst, engaging read which left me smiling when Finn and Joel navigated their way to an HEA.
There’s plenty of interesting side characters in the “Maine Men” and I look forward to the friends getting their stories told.

3.75 stars. Enjoyable fated mates novella.

This was just what I needed to make me smile on a grey, rainy Sunday afternoon. An engaging, easy to read, short but sweet charming novella with a bit of humour.
It is a fated mates story but there’s no insta love here between the two very likeable main characters. Hart, the liger shifter, has to put in some work and actually romance Dayton, the small town history teacher. There’s no over abundance of steamy scenes but what’s there makes the heat level rise.
A few issues crop up to try and derail their HEA but they manage to negotiate them without being too angsty.
I would’ve liked just a bit more background regarding the pride and how Dayton come to be in it.

This masterfully written book brings together two strong but wounded men just when they need each other most.
Tai decamps to Vermont after catching his boyfriend cheating. Circumstances lead him to work for Emmett, the local veterinarian, and so begins their budding romance. A romance between the bright and sassy Tai who doesn’t even realise how strong and capable he is and the overwhelmed, sexy single dad Emmett who holds a well kept secret that few people are aware of.

Their instant chemistry is not acted on immediately. It’s slow burnish in nature with lots of flirting, laughing and teasing but once it ignites there’s so much steam. These two wonderful men cannot keep their hands off each other particularly when in the workplace and/or food bets are involved!

The perfectly woven threads of sass and snark, lighthearted laughs and sober introspection leave us with two strongly developed complex main characters who, with the aid of an interesting cast of side characters keep the plot flowing along seamlessly.

I was pulled into Tai and Emmett’s lives from the outset, was fully engaged in this remarkable book, laughed a lot, had lots of feels and just wanted to give their little family a huge squishy hug when it all came together for their HEA.
I highly recommend this amazing instalment in the Vino and Veritas series. It can be read as a standalone.

This is a very enjoyable, engaging read that covers a few tropes - age gap, bigger guy/smaller guy, sunshine/ grumpy guy and fake boyfriends.

Of the two main characters, my heart instantly went out to Brody and his recent troubles. It took a few pages for me to warm to Logan and his playboy antics but all was redeemed later.
Brody is a 28 year old grumpy sugar maker who was recently left jilted at the alter. Logan is a 42 year old playboy author in town trying to get his creative writing mojo back. Circumstances bring them together and have them entering into a fake relationship. There is an almost instant attraction between them but it slow burns before anything physical happens. During that time we get to learn about the characters in more depth and start to understand why they are the way they are.
Once the chemistry does explode things do get pretty steamy!
There’s some angst, some feels and a long awaited HEA once these men sort themselves out. The author balanced all these elements perfectly and I really need to go and source some maple wine now!

Another McCoy finds romance when least expected.

I’ve been waiting for Hennessy’s story and I was not disappointed. His young precocious niece goes missing and Morrison arrives to help with his Search and Rescue K9 Ahab. So begins their romance, even if Hennessy didn’t make a great first impression, but the instant attraction wasn’t ignored and slowly progressed to much more.
Both of these likeable main characters have baggage that follows them. Morrison has issues with his father and Hennessy’s Coast Guard past comes back to haunt him. Even though events add stress to their burgeoning relationship, they successfully find their way to an HEA. Naturally the whole McCoy family are there to assist in whatever way they can.
This is an engaging and enjoyable read with some drama, minimal angst, medium heat, two adorable nieces and the healing power of a puppy.

Perfect way to wrap up an amazing series.

Kelly Fox certainly knows how to weave a story that grabs you immediately and doesn’t let go until the very end. With strong complex characters, an engaging plot and perfect pacing that keeps you turning the pages.

Odd and DeShaun, aka DB, have been circling around their scorching chemistry for years, having the occasional flirtation but never going further. DB has his reasons for keeping Odd at arms length, even though he knows he’s breaking Odd’s heart. Reasons that involve both mental and physical injuries from his military service. These are written and described with the utmost sensitivity and compassion and at times my heart cracked for DB and Odd. When they finally get themselves sorted out be prepared for many hot and steamy scenes!

So there’s feels, lots of feels, which are nicely balanced with laugh out loud funny moments, action, and not to be left out - Anders being, well, Anders.

I loved every moment of this book which beautiful wrapped up the series and I’m looking forward to seeing these old friends popping in again in the spin off series.
