Well this story took a little while to get me invested, but once it did...I couldn't look away! Once Perry and Dex arrived in Red Fox, things stayed interesting. This story definitely kept me guessing, I never really knew what to expect next. I enjoyed the whole Native American theme. And I really like Perry and Dex, and look forward to seeing what happens next to this dynamic duo!

This was a very short novella, taking place inbtween books 2 and 3. It was a neat little story, without all the angst and build up of the other books. I liked it, but I would have liked more. I'm not really sure if it added much of anything to the series. Maybe I will find that answer after reading the 3rd book.
Well reading this book was quite a ride. I have to say right off the bat, Karina Halle writes some mean spooky stories. Some of the things I read in Dead Sky Morning gave me the chills. I'm super glad I was able to finish this before nightfall, I don't know that I would have kept going home alone in the dark!
I was also knocked on my ass by that revaluation in the middle of the book!! I mean where did that come from? You know, I like Dex but by god do I want to shake him and yell at him sometimes! I really have no freaking clue what's going on with him, I'm clearly horrific at guessing so from this point on I no longer have theories. I'm going with the flow, I'm guessing things will start coming to light more and more.
I love Perry. The only thing I'm not a huge fan of is her raging insecurities, but it's seems like with each book, she's getting slightly more comfortable in her own skin. I really liked that she had it out with Dex, I was hoping she would have said a little more, but I was just glad to see her assert herself and stick up for herself.
I also want to make a quick note of how much I love all the humor in this series. It is littered throughout each book so far, and it's one of my favorite things. Whether it be a life or death situation or just a calm between the storms, there are some great one liners!
There is still so much sexual tension going on between Perry and Dex. I really have no clue when things are going to change, one way or another, with these two! I'm just hoping it will be soon. It seems like these books keep getting better and better, I look forward to seeing what happens next :)

This book was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! Well, that is if you like hot sex and laughing like a lunatic pretty frequently. I adore both of those things, so needless to say I loved this book. Stardust was great, it was a light, funny, sexy read. It was honestly like a breath of fresh air.
I am officially on Team Peaches. She might just be one if my new favorite leading ladies. She was so unique, charming, funny, a little strange (and trust me that's a good thing, all the best people are!), and so quirky. She felt so real to me, she had some body image issues, which come on what woman doesn't at times?. But she was also confident and comfortable in her own skin too, even though it might not have been her idea of perfection. Her sarcastic, witty banter was one of my favorite things about her, and this book! I laughed out loud so many times I' started getting worried, "is she crazy?" Glances from my family.
Can't forget about good ole "Double D"! He was just as awesome as Peaches, with the added bonuses of being a celebrity and drop dead gorgeous. He exuded the same comical strangeness that she did, and I loved it!! So much so that I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, after that not so appealing light that was cast on him at the end.
Did I also mention how much I loved Beaverdale?! And no people that was not a euphemism, get your heads out of the gutters!! It was the actual setting of this book. Seriously if Beaverdale were a real place, I'd be getting my passport stamped immediately ;) It felt like a neighborhood version of Cheers, where everybody knows your name. Even the smaller characters were quirky and brought a nice feel to the whole book. I mean come on, who wasn't completely in love with Dottie and her class? Or the older generations of Peaches family?
I was so pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. I will definitely be watching out for the next book to come out! And I will also be checking out more books from this author.

Meh. It was alright. A short sexy book, very very short, but of course there are more coming out in the series. It was free though, so that's a plus. It wasn't bad or anything, there just isn't much of a story there, with it only being 50 pages.

Another great addition to this series. It's hard to believe at this point that these are still just children dealing with a world of crazy. Things seem to be coming to an end in the FAYZ and I'm sitting on the edge of my seat to see how this all ends!
This was a very short little novella from Logan's point of view. I really like Logan, I mean who doesn't?! But I have to say I was a little disappointed that we didn't get more insight to how he was feeling about Gwen and what was going to happen after he went all reaper on her. There was a lot of him expressing his all consuming guilt over what happened, but I knew that already. I was just hoping for something a little more I guess.
It was still a peek at Logan though, so it wasn't bad. It also hinted at something pretty big happening at the Academy while he was away, so I'm super excited to dive into Midnight Frost and see what's going on there!! So all in all, it was short and sweet and I did enjoy it, but I don't think you exactly have to read it to find out anything new to the series as a whole.

Well this was a pleasant read. While all the other books in this series so far seemed to mostly be dealing with all the bad guys who were a part of this underground genetic make up altering ring, this book took a break from that story line. As I have said in my reviews of the previous books, I really enjoyed that story line, but I am glad that something new was brought to the table here. We got a deeper look in to who/what Quinn is, to meet a whole new class of bad guys, and last but not least, finally got to witness the ultimate showdown between Riley and Guatier. I look forward to seeing what comes next for Riley, because that girl can't seem to not get caught in the middle of an epic shit storm every time one arises!

This book probably couldn't have came along at a better time. It was fast paced and not something to put a lot of thought into, and it was about fairies which is always something that captures my interest. Unfortunately my life has been crazy lately, so I haven't had much time for reading, but it was nice to pick this up when I was able and just turn my brain off and escape to a land of magic and fairies.

You know I really enjoyed the first half of Lie Still. I thought Emily had a very troubling, yet interesting life, which only seemed to increase once she moved to Texas. The Texan ladies in this book were laughable, I'm not from the south so I don't really know how it all works down there, but these ladies were every cliche I ever heard rolled into some VERY desperate housewives!! I really thought they were all so over the top that it was hilarious.
About halfway through or so I felt like the plot was getting so big I found myself struggling to keep up with it all. By the end I was a little lost. I guess I was hoping that everything would all tie together neatly, but that's not really how it happened. There were a few unanswered questions that you really have no other choice but to go along with Emily's assumptions of what happened. I feel like maybe the author branched out a little too much in the things that were going on. I felt like at least the deal with her parent's killer's parole and all that probably wasn't an essential part to this particular tale, and just added more background noise to an already packed story.
Anyways, the mystery was actually pretty great. I really was blindsided by the outcome. I did enjoy the story, but I think it could have been even greater if the plot was a little more condensed. I was still super happy to win this book, it's almost like hitting the lottery, right??!? I always get super excited when I win something! It was an enjoyable read, and I'll probably pass it along to a friend to enjoy next.
