Thank you Olivia Cunning for getting me out of my book slump! With all the big life changes I've been going through lately, it has been hard to get into anything new. This book was perfect. I was able to relax, shut my brain off and just enjoy the pleasure the Sinners always bring.

I have been waiting for this book to come out for awhile so I could actually read them all in the intended order. I'm happy to say that with all the anticipation that built up, this book did not disappoint. I really enjoyed Eric and Reb's story. I even liked the fact that it was as if Reb was tailor made for Eric and vice versa. I mean they really couldn't have found anyone better suited for each other than these two.

Wicked Beat had some of the greatest, most fun sex scenes that I have read from the Sinner's books yet! I loved all the costume play and scenarios these two got into. If you are looking for fun and light, with lots of steamy inventive and graphic sex scenes, then look no further because the Sinner's never disappoint :)

Thank you Karina Halle, you've done it again. You have some how wrote this ragtag group of flawed and raw characters and they have wormed their way right into my heart! It has to be said how much talent is there to pull this off, even when they're at their worst I still care about them and hope it can work out. I love how each and every one of them are written, they feel so real, there are no perfect people here. There is jealousy, insecurity, rage, and vengeance. And just when you think you've put one of them in this black or white, good or bad box, they turn around and show you just how grey they are. Isn't that the way real people are though? Even the best of people with the best of intentions can make a mistake or do something naughty.

I really enjoyed the dual point of views, alternating chapters between Ellie and Camden was great. We have watched both of them struggle and grow throughout the book. I have to say there were quite a few shockers in this book too. I mean the whole ordeal with Ellie's parents??!!! I'm dying to know what's going on there, because having read a few of Halle's novels now, I know it's not going to be anything simple! The ending....oh that ending! I was literally on the edge of my seat reading this action packed scene and then BAM...end of story (at least until the next book). I have no clue what's coming next for these characters, but I can't wait to find out!

You know it's pretty rare for me to pick up a book that I haven't had at least one goodreads friend give a glowing review to anymore. Escaping Reality is one of the few that I picked up on a whim because B&N suggested I would like it, the synopsis was interesting, and it was a steal at 99¢. Well let it be said, this book was not a disappointment.

Escaping Reality had me captivated from page 1 right up to the end. This was fast paced, interesting, and sexy. I have a ton of unanswered questions after finishing this, but fortunately I won't have to wait too long to get some answers from the second (and from what I understand to be the final book in this series), which is being released in just a few weeks. And thank goodness for that after this massive cliffhanger of an ending!

I feel as lost as poor Amy by the end if this book! Any small revelation we got a peek at throughout this book only succeeded in doubling the questions I needed answered. I literally feel as if I've slipped into Amy's shoes, for I now have an immense distrust of everyone I've encountered thus far in this novel. Jared and Meg especailly. While Liam is definitely a riddle that needs solving, I don't believe he will turn out to be someone she needs to fear, but rather a savior of sorts.

Even with the overplayed cliches of the damsel in distress or the billionaire alpha male, this book still had enough to set itself apart from the many others with the same basic themes. The drama was definitely high, but there seems to be a valid reason behind it, and I for one can't wait to her about the real Amy!

I gave this book the extra .5 just because I was up until 2am last night so I could finish it! The Secret of Ella and Micha was decent read. It was a pretty standard best friend romance. I absolutely adored Micha, I mean come on, a gorgeous, classic muscle car driving, guitar playing, singer....hell yeah!! And it was clear from page 1 that he was head over heals for Ella, so sweet! Ella didn't really do much for me, while I guess I could see the reasoning behind why she was acting the way she was, I still thought it was a jerk move to completely cut out everyone from her life without so much as a word. Ella and Micha's family lifes definitely made the book a whole lot more interesting. I'm not exactly sure how many books are in this series, but I will be adding the second book to my enormous "to-read" list.

I LOVED every second of this book! This was amazing from the very first word until the very last. It had everything I love about the Lux series, and Jennifer Armenttout's books in general. This author has a habit of making you feel right along with the characters, as if you were a part of the story too. One of my favorite things is her sense of humor, it's always apparent in all of her novels, and thank goodness for it! The back and forth smartassery between Katy and Daemon has always been such a highlight for me, and even completely head-over heals in love, and in the middle of earth shattering situations, they never lost that.

I laughed, I teared up, I shouted out in moments of joy and outrage, I felt strongly throughout this entire book....and that my friends is what a great book is all about. I love being completely immersed in the fantasy of it all, where hours fall away unknowingly and you just can't rip yourself away until you finish every last word.

There were so many surprises in this book, many that knocked me on my ass and one or two that I saw coming. Either way it was an incredible ride and has opened so much up for the next book that I really don't know what will happen next. And I NEED to know! Jennifer Armentrout certainly has a flare for the dramatic, Origin ended as many of the others before it did....leaving you on the edge of your seat shouting out to the heavens "WHY?!!". So as I have before, and will undoubtedly continue to do in the future, I will be ANXIOUSLY awaiting the next book from this incredible author! If you haven't read Origin yet, do yourself a favor and stop waiting, because it was a fantastic journey!

Wow. Just wow. The thing I think I love the most about Falling into Us was that Jasinda Wilder has this amazing way of taking you on this incredible journey, step by step with her characters. Her stories about teenagers coming of age are so real, it's almost like getting transported back in time, you are feeling everything right along with these characters, so many feelings that were so predominant in, I think, everyone's youth, wether it be a new scary and exhilarating experience like your first intimate encounter, or a heartbreaking journey through a big loss, or even the ups and downs of dealing with that rocky transition from child to adult.

While I did like the first book, Falling into You, this book was so much more for me, I didn't just like it....I loved it! Becca and Jason were both two characters that I couldn't get enough of. I loved every second of reading about them. I also have to say how great I think it is that this story didn't follow that typical new adult/contemporary romance plot. If you read as much of that stuff as I do you know what I'm talking about, that journey of the main characters finally coming together, and just when things are going well....BAM some obstacle sends them apart where they individually flounder without each other until getting back together to live happily ever after at the end. Don't get me wrong, I love these genres, and I do enjoy that particular story line, but it is incredibly refreshing when a book like this one comes along and can still keep your rapt attention without the drama of will they or won't they work things out? I loved how Becca and Jason were a untied force through everything, I mean that's the dream right?! And with all the other things going on in this book, there were no dull moments, the drama was still there, but in a different way.

I, being a Michigan native myself, have to say I found that aspect of the book to be a lot of fun. The mentioning of Great Lakes Crossing and U of M brought a smile to my face. These are places I know well and it was enjoyable for me to hear some of the nicer things Michigan has to offer mentioned! We kind of get a bad rep with constantly being around the top of the charts for the murder Capitol, and shows like Hardcore Pawn that highlight some of the work of our truly beautiful state.

Lastly I feel like it has to be said, this novel did a glorious job of tying everything together. While we got a glimpse of closure at the end of Falling into You, after all that pain and suffering it almost left you wanting to know more, like what the future of Nell and Colt looked like. Well if that question was something you would love the answer to, look no further because you got a great picture of the end of their journey in this book as well. Where the first book broke you I'm a million pieces, and this book had it's fair share of heartbreak as well, by the end you had a feeling of coming full circle. It left you with a sense of peace and healing, thank goodness! I couldn't imagine it all playing out any other way.

If you have not read this book yet, stop waiting, my friend because you are missing out. This was a unique read and such a beautiful story from beginning to end. I will definitely be on the look out for more from this author in the future!

I can't believe this was the final book. I'm not ready for this series to end! I do feel like it was a pretty spectacular ending though. I was quite worried there for awhile at the end, but it all played out surprisingly well. I feel like all the loss and heartache experienced in the previous books were healed in the last few pages. I only wish that there would have been a little more of that! I think another chapter of how everything played out would have brought this book into the 5 star rating.

I do think that all of the characters really shined in this last book. As much of a pain in the ass and infuriating person as Seth was throughout this series, he always held a special place in my heart. He never failed to bring a smile to my face with all his crazy antics and charming personality lol. I really liked how his character developed in this book. I felt like his ending was absolutely perfect. I couldn't imagine another scenario being any more fitting than this one. Alex was fantastic, as always. And Aiden was his usual sweet self. There were plenty of stolen moments for them throughout all the chaos of the raging war, which was nice. And the gods were entertaining to say the least.

All in all this was a great way to bring this incredible series to an end and my only complaint is that I wish there had been a little more at the end. So while it's sad to say goodbye to The Covenant series, at least I have a few other highly anticipated books by Jennifer Armentrout coming out in the future so I can get my fix. Because make no mistake, I am addicted to pretty much anything she puts out there lol.

It has been some time between me reading Insurgent (book 2) and finally picking up Allegiant (the third and final book). I honestly floundered a little bit for the first few chapters trying to remember all that had happened in the previous books. I feel like sometimes after reading as much as I do, when so much time goes by between books in a series, sometimes they tend to blend in with some of the others in that particular genre. So it took me a little bit, but eventually it started coming back to me, and I could continue reading Allegiant without all the nagging questions.

This book was definitely action packed, but you know I'm not sure that was what made me enjoy it so much. The thing that really stuck out for me in this book, and really the whole series, was the whole idea of this world where everyone was divided up by a few characteristics. I mean the idea of being all one personality type, Candor (the purely honest), Erudite ( the scholars, and knowledge seekers), Abnegation (the selfless), Amity (the peaceful), and Dauntless (the fearless). Hearing all these words alone you would think these are each great things to live by, and they are, except when you become limited by them. You must choose one, and no matter the circumstances or situation, stand true to your faction. People in general survive, and flourish by adapting to different situations. Sometimes the fearless must realize a fear, for sometimes it's there to warn you that something is dangerous and unwise. Just like bring selfless or candid can be virtuous things, until you are in a situation where you need to think of yourself first, or maybe tell a small white lie to spare someone else's feelings. I just loved this idea, and I loved watching all the factions unravel over time.

I did think Allegiant brought something new and equally as enjoyable to this series though. The revelations about the true meaning behind why the factions existed and what the government was really trying to produce from it was a great story. And I know I've seen a lot of people on here complain about the ending, but I think it was fantastic. I love a HEA, when everything is sunshine and roses and all that other Disney fairy tale stuff that's ingrained my soul lol. But this ending, it was bold, unexpected, and I think, completely fitting to this series as a whole. All in all this was a great series, with a lot of philosophical questions underneath, it made me think a lot about human nature, and nature vs. nurture, and I like when a book can stop and make you think sometimes.

There is no denying that The Fault in Our Stars affected me. I definitely was not completely dry eyed by the end. Sometimes I wonder why I torture myself, knowing full well ahead of time that something will inevitably make me so sad, and yet I have to go through it. I lost the person who raised me, my grandmother, to cancer when I was 12 years old. Not one single action in my life, well with the exception of becoming a mother, has changed me, and everything i had ever known so drastically as that did. I watched the disease, and the aggressive treatments and the end result of losing that battle. So ultimately, I guess the stories/movies about cancer patients just hits me a little harder. And even though it can be torturous at times, it's familiar, and I almost crave the great times the characters have before the heartbreaking end because it reminds of experiencing my own. There is some beauty in that and I think that's what gets me.

I absolutely fell in love with Augustus from the first night that he met Hazel. He was so charismatic. His character kept off the pages! I did like Hazel too, but I feel like Augustus made this book shine bright. I will say that neither of them felt as though they were teenagers though. But then there would be moments or something they said that was so teenagery that it almost felt like it didn't fit.

I can't say I was really surprised by much in this book. I had a feeling how things would end from the get go, but it was a touching journey to take never the less. I have heard great things about John Green's books, and I'm happy to say that this one did not disappoint. I look forward to reading more from him in the future.
