Loved this story! I love how the dialogue effectively conveyed the myriad dialects/languages of Malaysia. Jess's growth was wonderful to see throughout the book. I love this type of book where all the gods are real and sharing the space with each other, and it was cool to see that set in a pantheon I am not as familiar with, and the author ended with book with lots of resources to learn more about it!

I do wish the book was a little bit longer and could have more fleshed out some parts (like the relationship with her parents.)

Wonderful art and a impactful story! Managed to create an interesting magic system in a relatively short time. Love some gay witches <3

Beautifully written story. The whole time I was reading it I felt the anxiety that Ludwik, and other queer people, felt under an oppressive government and the surveillance that you would internalize. To seek love and connection with an axe over your head!

The art was beautiful and I found the premise interesting, but the story felt really choppy (
I felt like we jumped from the Reaper telling Hamal that he needed to to help fix that tree to him doing it and there wasn't explanation for what he was doing or why??
I thought Blue and Hamal were cute, I just didn't really see a lot of development in terms of character, relationship, or story.

Really beautifully written exploration on female friendship and how the forces of society (like patriarchy) can mold you and pressure you.

Interesting book with cool information. The veer into transhumanism and questing existence at the end was unexpected, but welcome and really cool.

While I found some of the stories enjoyable and interesting (especially Timebox 1 &2), I was a little bit disappointed. The world building was inconsistent (
like in the first story where it's pretty clear queer folks are considered dirty computers and Seshet is hiding her sexuality, but in Timebox Raven and Akilah are seemingly out and openly living together???)
). The themes explored were interesting and important and did lead to me thinking about some things, but did not enjoy the story or the world.
