This book had me hooked from the first page. This book will definitely be on my list of favorite holiday romance books. It had me feeling all the emotions. It made me smile, laugh and get teary eyed (sad and happy tears).

In A Very Merry Mistake we meet Claire and Jake. Jake is a lumberjack who works on his family's Christmas tree farm. Clair is a New York city girl who comes to Merryville, TX with something to prove to her father. Due to a some bad luck, she ends up with no place to stay and a broken down truck. Jake finds her on the side of the road and offers her a ride. She reluctantly accepts his ride and eventually his offer to stay at his cabin and his bed. These two have chemistry and it radiates off the page. I love how they saw each other for who they were and they didn't need to put on a facade. Claire could be herself with Jake and he loved and encouraged her for it.

Read this book if you love:
* small town romance
* forced proximity
* fake dating
* found family
* dual POV
* spice
* swoony and protective MMC

Jake is top tier boyfriend material! This was my first book by Lyra Parish, but definitely not the last! The side characters in this book offer an opportunity for new books in the series. I would love to see a book for both of the brothers! I can't wait to read the next one!

Thank you to Lyra Parish for an ARC of this book. I voluntarily read it in exchange for my honest review.

Hum…Mia Sheridan is one of my favorite authors but this book was not what I expected. We meet Noelle and Evan who go through a horrible experience together. I wish it was told in first person. It was difficult to connect with the characters in the way it was written. Duel POVs would have made the book better in my opinion. If you are a MIA Sheridan fan like I am, I would unfortunately skip this one.

I have heard it has a connection with her book Bad Mother (which I have not read). If you have read that book and enjoyed it then maybe give this one a read.

The audio for this book is awful. I stopped listening to it and solely read the book.

Claus and Effect is a cute holiday read. In this book we meet Tessa and Tre. After a psychic tells Tessa to go after the love of her life she gets on a plane to go surprise him. She keeps running into a military guy she calls GI Joe (Tre). Holiday chaos in sues and Tessa and Tre are forced to travel across the county together using multiple modes of transportation and lots of adventures along the way.

This was my first book by Piper Rayne, but it won’t be my last. The audio is in duet narration and I enjoyed it as well.

This book had me feel all the emotions. We meet Savannah and Link. When they meet they have an instant connection. Savannah is healing from past trauma and Link shows her patience and support when she needs it. This book deals with heavy topics. Savannah was so real and I felt like I could connect with her. I admire her strength and resilience. This was my first book by this author but I am looking forward to her holiday hockey romance.

In this book we meet Cutler and Cheyenne. Cutler is a NHL player and a protective and supportive MMC. Cheyenne has trauma in her past and is a good representation of what dealing with mental health issues is like. Through therapy and meds she has come a long way but is still in a daily battle with her brain. She is relatable and a good example for mental health representation and resiliency. Cutler may not understand her struggle fully but he grounds her and provides the calmness she needs. I enjoyed this book and the growth in their relationship. I like that the MFC is flawed and struggles but through hard work is able to overcome hardship. This was my first book by this author, but I hope to read more.

This book was kinda boring the first 40% but then it got good and I really enjoyed it. I loved the off campus series so I am super excited for a spinoff series. I hope we get an epilogue of these couples. I would love to see Gigi and Ryder in the future.

This book didn’t live up to my expectations but I did like Ryders character development throughout the book.

3.5 stars rounded up to 4 stars.

In no this book we meet Stella and Luka. They have been best friends for over a decade. Stella owns a Christmas tree farm and it isn’t doing great financially. She enters a contest that offers money to the winner. In her application Stella says she owns the tree farm with her boyfriend. Stella doesn’t have a boyfriend so she asks Luka to be her fake boyfriend.

I hard agree hard time getting into the book but once I did I enjoyed it. I am a fan of duel POV (throughout the entire book) and this didn’t have that, so that may be why I rated it slightly lower.

A fun holiday read. In this novella we meet Stella and Heath. Heath is Stella’s brother’s best friend. Stella has had a crush on him since she was a kid. Stella ends up getting g a job at Heath’s family’s business and now has to see him everyday. Heath lets Stella know he too has always had a crush on her.

I thought the storyline was rushed a little at the beginning but it is a novella so there is limited amount of time. I liked the characters and their story.

3.5 ⭐️ rounded up. This is the third in the Holiday brothers series. We meet Tobias and Eva. Tobias and Eva used to date in college but broke up when she left for New York for a job. Years later they meet up for dinner and spend the night together. Six weeks later she finds out she is pregnant. I liked that they had a history together and still had love for each other. While I did like this novella, I wanted to like it more than I did. Still worth a read since it is a short and easy read.

Little People, Big Dreams is a great series to introduce young children to important figures in history. As a teacher, I especially love when women are represented in jobs that are typically thought of as being held by men. It is important for students, especially young girls to see woman represented. Literature is a great way to introduce students to important occupations as well as learn about important individuals that have made a difference. in history.

This book focuses on Sally's love of science and her dedication to learning and hard work. It gives a history of her life starting with her passions as a kid, working for NASA and her time after being an astronaut. I liked the timeline at the back that included real photographs as well.

The illustrations are colorful and engaging to the reader. In second grade we do a biography project and I make sure both men and women are represented as well as individuals from different ethnic backgrounds. This is a book that I would include for my students to use in their research about an important figure. I know my students, especially my science loving students would love to read about Sally Ride and the impact she made in science. She is an individual my students can look up to as a role model. This book is factual and is the perfect length for students to use as a resource.

The only reason I gave it a four star review is because it talks about how the press didn't take her seriously and asked her silly and sexist questions. I wish that page could have been worded in more kid friendly language. While it is important, I'm not sure that it is a concept the age range this book is geared towards can conceptually understand. There will need to be a discussion about what sexist means and why she was not taken seriously.

Hopefully young children will be inspired by Sally Ride's big dreams and reach for the stars in their dreams.

This book will be released in January 2024 . Thank you Netgalley and Publisher! I voluntarily read this book and gave an honest review.
