The Not-Outcast
by Tijan
In this book we meet Cutler and Cheyenne. Cutler is a NHL player and a protective and supportive MMC. Cheyenne has trauma in her past and is a good representation of what dealing with mental health issues is like. Through therapy and meds she has come a long way but is still in a daily battle with her brain. She is relatable and a good example for mental health representation and resiliency. Cutler may not understand her struggle fully but he grounds her and provides the calmness she needs. I enjoyed this book and the growth in their relationship. I like that the MFC is flawed and struggles but through hard work is able to overcome hardship. This was my first book by this author, but I hope to read more.
