A Very Merry Mistake by Lyra Parish
5.0

This book had me hooked from the first page. This book will definitely be on my list of favorite holiday romance books. It had me feeling all the emotions. It made me smile, laugh and get teary eyed (sad and happy tears).

In A Very Merry Mistake we meet Claire and Jake. Jake is a lumberjack who works on his family's Christmas tree farm. Clair is a New York city girl who comes to Merryville, TX with something to prove to her father. Due to a some bad luck, she ends up with no place to stay and a broken down truck. Jake finds her on the side of the road and offers her a ride. She reluctantly accepts his ride and eventually his offer to stay at his cabin and his bed. These two have chemistry and it radiates off the page. I love how they saw each other for who they were and they didn't need to put on a facade. Claire could be herself with Jake and he loved and encouraged her for it.

Read this book if you love:
* small town romance
* forced proximity
* fake dating
* found family
* dual POV
* spice
* swoony and protective MMC

Jake is top tier boyfriend material! This was my first book by Lyra Parish, but definitely not the last! The side characters in this book offer an opportunity for new books in the series. I would love to see a book for both of the brothers! I can't wait to read the next one!

Thank you to Lyra Parish for an ARC of this book. I voluntarily read it in exchange for my honest review.
