Incredible. I read Her Soul to Take first, and that I thought was good. This one is better. I love the darker romances and this one just hit the spot I'd been missing since finishing Haunting/Hunting Adeline. Scary devil daddy and revenge mommy with a fantastic ending that didn't disappoint.
Cute, Fast Novella
The story was cute and very fast. I would have loved to see this stretch out and provide more details, it felt like it was a school project that had a deadline coming up and needed to be finished quickly. But I enjoyed the story over all and love the soft, cozy feelings from the MMC and the FMC.

What the Fuck
How dare the book end at 95% when it was just getting good.
Spicy scenes are aplenty, along with instalove, don’t touch her, he’s rich, she’s not vibes. There are quite a few grammatical errors, and the story is a little boring, but I imagine it’s gets better the more books you read in the series.

I have never wanted to be a female main character more than I did with Rachel.
I fell madly in love with Rachel first, and the entire reason is the 'bunny extraction' about 22% in the book. She takes care of her team in every way. The love that grows between all of them makes my heart grow 10x over.
“They did,” she presses. “By choosing you, they chose your baggage too. That’s how grown-up relationships work, Rach. They don’t get the girl without the drama."

This was the most perfect extra credits I could have asked for. I’m not usually a fan of babies, but each chapter was written perfectly and more focused on the love than the kids. I canNOT wait for more.
I'm so so so happy that Ryan and Tess got their story told. It's beautiful and real and fleshed out with so many details that it pulled me in and made me feel so entranced the entire time. All the feels through the entire book, along with special scenes with characters from Pucking Around.
“Tess’s brain is at war with her heart, which has been hijacked by her vagina,” Caleb summarizes for him. “She wants Rachel to dunk her heart and her vagina in an ice bath so her brain can take charge again.”

This was my Book Club's June book and I just couldn't read it until now because my brain says, 'oh people are hype about this book, well then I just can't read it'. It's stupid, because DAMN was this book amazing. It's a sloooooooooow burn, and not as spicy as I thought it would be, but when Rebecca Yarros gave us those scenes finally, she GAVE us those scenes. And yes. I cried. Multiple times.
“Crawl to me, little one. Unzip my pants for me.” I love that she takes my direction well. And I love that it turns her on. The little shiver her body gives is the proof. And that makes me a very satisfied man."
I was super excited for this book and I will absolutely give this

I'm... disappointed. I really really really wanted to like this and it's a really great plot and I really like the originality of the characters. I've never read something like this and I really wanted to love this book. Birdie and Palmer are so cute, it's a beautifully written friends-to-enemies-to-lovers.
But the amount of spelling and grammar mistakes really ruined it for me. One of my favorite lines in the entire book "I’m like a dying man in the dessert who sees a body of water. Except it’s a body of water that looks great from a distance but will rearrange your face if you drink it. Birdie is my body of water, and I need a goddamn drink before I pass out, so… goodbye, pretty face" ....
I will say, the rain always does it though. “Because you weren’t here! And I just wanted you, and I was too afraid to tell you, and then you walked away from me so fucking easily, and I couldn’t breathe, and he made me forget for just one second that you didn’t want me!”
Overall, I think it's an okay book. But another run through with an editor would have done so much for this book.
