A cute, sexy novella. I read it on my Kindle app before bed and it was the perfect length to finish before I got too sleepy. Loved the ending!

This story was a very cute YA contemporary romance with some legal drama sprinkled in. I think I would’ve enjoyed it more if I was a few years younger as I had a difficult time relating to the main characters who are high school students. However, I really enjoyed Samantha’s storyline because she is closer in age to me. Even though her story is not the main plot, I wish there was more closure for her and the reader.

This is probably the most hilarious celebrity memoir I have ever read and if you can stomach the crude humor that is Wong’s trademark, I recommend reading this one!

Okay, yes. I said I wasn’t going to read anything else by Christina Lauren after being horribly disappointed by My Favorite Half Night Stand... BUT this one was so cute! I sped through this romance novel and couldn’t help but cheer for Ethan and Olive to fall in love. Highly recommend reading this one if you find yourself in a reading slump and need something fun and light to devour.

Per usual, Sager knocks it out of the park with this one. He does such a good job creating the setting — as wicked and spooky as it may be — and developing the main characters in the novel. Highly recommend this slow burner thriller and his two previous books as well.

I loved the relationship between Jake and Parker. No longer romantically involved, but still friends who have each other’s backs. Unfortunately, that is the only thing I loved about this book. Coming from have read Summers’ book Sadie, I had high expectations, but this one was just okay in comparison.

In all honesty, this could’ve been a five star book for me if I was about ten years older. This one was definitely written for mothers and wives — neither of which I am yet, but boy did I enjoy reading it. The second half of this book and its epilogue are beautiful and I would be lying if I said I didn’t shed a tear or two. I know What Alice Forgot isn’t a new release, but if you haven’t read this one yet, I cannot recommend it enough.

It’s the last month of the year and I finally read my first sci-fi novel! Three cheers for me for finishing this one and (gasp) actually enjoying it? The premise of this book is that a new technology is created where on the day someone is to die they are alerted. Then it is up to them to choose how to spend their last day. Mateo and Rufus both receive their calls and end up spending their last days together despite being complete strangers before that day. I laughed, I cried, and I can’t recommend this one enough! Just read it! It’s worth it!

As I have never seen the musical, I was drawn to this book. I wanted to be able to listen to the soundtrack and actually understand the story line! With that goal, I would say that this is a pretty perfect book. However, as a stand alone (no musical soundtrack to devour afterwards) I probably would have only rated this one three stars. So I compromised and ended up with the four star rating! (Content Warning: suicide)

I wanted to love this book. I really did. However, it just felt so cringey to me and I couldn’t accept how over-the-top this story was. I know it’s fiction, but I couldn’t even begin to believe the plot line. I found myself counting how many pages were left in each chapter so I could put it down and do something other than read this. In defense of the novel though, everyone else seemed to love it so maybe it’s a me problem rather than the book’s problem?
