Imagine being a cop in a poverty neighborhood where people are suffering from the opioid epidemic. Women are selling their bodies. Their is a murderer on the loose. But, out of all these people, your sister is an addict and a sex worker. You fear each time you get called for an overdose or see a victim of homicide, you worry if it is your sister this time. Where is your sister anyway?
Long Bright River is told in present time and in flashbacks. Michaela is looking for her sister at the same time trying to find the murderer. Who could it be? It sheds light on the opioid epidemic and the police force. Super quick and enthralling read.

DNF at 100 pages. Too much filler and new characters introduced. Very boring.

This book falls in the second book syndrome and felt like a filler book. A lot really doesn’t go on. Not much shock value and just fell flat to me. I did love Stevie’s character with her mental illness. It made her feel real and very relatable to. The humor was on point and was great comedic relief. David was just a hot mess. I’m hoping book 3 is better and has those oh my gosh twists in it.

Rating: 3.5/5 Stars
I love the dragons in the book. I loved the dual POVs. I did not love the love story and felt like there was a lot of dull moments sprinkled throughout the novel. Will I read the next book? Maybe. I’ll have to see.

If you are a fan of Geekerella, then you will love this. It’s super cute and about being a fangirl and cosplaying. Also, it is told by 3 different friends with them learning confidence, love, and friendship. Definitely a pick up if you want a cute, fast read.

4.5/5
The story is quick moving. The characters are great. I love the aspect of a witch being married to a witch hunter. Very enjoyable to read and made me realize why I love to read.

DNF at chapter 6. Too much swearing and just plain boring.

A Princess is said to be dead, but she really isn’t and ran in a time of betrayal. She is looking a fugitive to help her. Once found, they go on a quest to find who killed her family. Once on the quest, they see first hand about slavery.
There is action, betrayal, treason, and great chemistry between the two main characters.
The reason for four stars is because I felt like something was missing, but at the same time too long of a book. It did have great world building and character building though.

Quick, fast fantasy read. I loved the world building and the characters. There is betrayal, romance, and some sci-fi aspect to it. I feel like this book can be for anyone. Also, there is diversity in this story.

Don’t be fooled by thinking this is a cutesy rom-com novel because it is not. It’s far more than that. It’s about a beautiful friendship and going on a life’s journey to discover oneself.
On December 15, 2020, Dannie interviews for a lawyer position at a big firm that she really wants to work with. Later that night, she gets engaged to David. After their engagement, Dannie falls asleep, but is transported to December 15, 2025 and is in a different apartment, wearing a different engagement ring, and the man is a totally different man from David.
Dannie tries to fight fate. Along the way she does meet that man and has heartbreak and friendship along the road.
Definitely a tear jerker where chocolate and tissues are a must have, but this is a book you will not want to put down.
