This was awful, in a way credence wasn't. The writing and prose was childish and didn't help with the fact the book covers incredibly dark topics to the point of feeling almost cartoonish.

Adeline was a dumb af fmc and Zade was a hypocritical mess- he saves women and girls but also stalks and basically commits SA but the narrative does nothing to challenge this behaviour or maybe point out the fact he's doing the same shit that the guys he kills do, it doesn't matter that he's doing it to an adult, it's just as awful.

The book can't seem to commit to non con/dub con, the characters flip flop between the nsfw scenes being assault and something they enjoy, in fact the author is more concerned with warning you about the fact the book ends on a cliff hanger than actually going into detail about the non con/dub con.

I personally cannot find non con romantic and so I wasn't sold on the 'romance' in it, finding it extraordinarily repetitive to the point of wanting to DNF. The 'plot' for little of it there is, is boring and tropey beyond comparison and I found myself skimming towards the end of the book due to just how repetitive it was.

The smut wasn't good, the characters were annoying and boring to read, the romance was awful, the plot was just bad, and it reads like a wattpad book on occasion. Do not read, if you're looking for a good dark romance go read The Mindfuck Series, much better in terms of damn near everything this book attempts to try.

** This was read as an ARC through a giveaway

This was a great read- while at points the writing was a little novice the characters and dynamics more than made up for it.

This follows August and Benny, twins, as they prepare to leave highschool and move on with their life. And with no spoilers, this was a devastating read at times, pulling on my heart and making me cry at more than 1 point. August is a fantastic fmc and I love that she got to be a mess in an understandable and relatable way. Benny and Warren were great too, and the small romance here really worked.

Spoiler territory beyond this point!
The author does a great job at making August's grief over her brother real, and the feelings towards an abusive parent struck as very realistic.

This was an excellent debut novel!

This was sweet! And a good twist on the Peter Pan story, the fast pacing worked well and everyone was a fun character- really enjoyed the changes to neverland and the faries. Enjoyed the romance too!

I can totally see why this doesn't work for some people, it's slow, there's practically no plot, and it's sold on a relationship that starts quickly. But this just worked so well for me, Addie is a fantastic character who really captivated me and her dance with Luc over the centuries was so intriguing. Henry was great too and his love and dedication to Addie moved me immensely.

Great world building that didn't feel heavy handed at all and beautiful (if a little repetitive at times) prose. I thought this was a lovely and deeply sad story.

One of my favourites of all time- delving into human nature and being insanely creative. Really scary at points too.

Absolutely fantastic second part- built on everything very nicely, gave a few characters more spotline, somehow made me feel things for a guy I hated in the first book, and I absolutely loved Pip's development (and her relationship w Ravi ❤️)

The mystery was just as compelling as the first and I gasped out loud a few times.

This was a lot of fun, nice little bit of backstory. Pip is so fun here as always, truly protagonist of all time.
