After reading Every Heart a Doorway, following Jack and Jill was the perfect way to continue the series. They are a fascinating pair and seeing their childhood was both telling and heartbreaking. While the defects in the parents parenting was heavily described, it set up the "why" behind who the girls become perfectly.

Another great story...and onto the next installment!

This book is easily a 10 out of 5 stars. This is my first TJ Klune but will absolutely not be my last. The characters were uniquely flawed and those flaws only made them better in my eyes. A hug from a pile of cuddly koalas couldn't be warmer than this book.
