Cute little novella to tie up the last 2 books.
Emily, Dylan, Jenna, and Zach spend Easter weekend with the guys family at a lake house.
Jenna concocts a plan to get the guys talking to each other and mend their rift... But the push to do it she gets from the guys younger brother Nick. He almist really messes up a lot more than the brother's relationships with each other and their girls.

I wasn't sure how I was going to like this. I gave up on The Nest by her and almost dnf'ed this one. I usually give up on a book around 100 pages is in not feeling it and I was there and it just gripped me!
This is a very character driven novel. Mostly centered on Flora and Julian and Matt and David. Friends for a long time. David had started a theater company, Good Company. Flora has a daughter Ruby that she left the stage to raise.
A secret 20 years ago is find out about Julian and Flora realized how much she put her trust in him when she shouldn't have trusted what he said all those years ago at all.
Margot hit it big in Hollywood and is Flora's best friend. When Flora finds out what Margot knew all those years ago and never told... There's a rift in their friendship.

Kristy is such a favorite author of mine. She writes such heartwarming books and this is no exception.

Parker and Amelia have one heck of a love story. They have both been married to others (Parker has been widowed for years and Amelia has just been left for another) but they just don't know the extent as to which they are connected through Greer, Parker's late wife.

I like that when Amelia heard of Greer's embryos and that Parker wants someone to have them that she steps up to the plate. She doesn't want wanting in return but to give this gift to Parker.

As they grow closer and we see them navigate through the pain of losing someone but being able to find solace in one another, it's beautiful. It's not just a light summer read but also a bit heavy, but she writes it all so well!

Thans to Kristy herself for sending me an ARC to read before pub date!

Thanks to Britney for providing me with a free e-copy of her book.

Once again, Kill, Sleep, Repeat is a gripping story and one that you don't want to put down. I finished this book in a couple of hours.

It can get graphic so if that's not your thing, you have been warned.

Charlotte seems like a "regular" mother- she's a flight attendant and takes care of her girls- and is a trained assassin. She takes out extremely bad men and then comes back home to suburbia.

But she'll find out her life that is a lie to those around her at home is even bigger than her... And close by.

I always have a bit of trouble with seconds in series. This was a huge book and I felt they much wasn't happening.... Until closer to the end of the book when they start bringing Katie on missions.

I still like Katie a lot. She just tries so hard to fight against The Academy. I love how fiercely she loves her brother and won't leave him... Which is why I had a hard time when she got to see Pete for a bit.

Ranger is still much of a jerk I feel so bad that Katie has to be "babysat" by him. He's just so mean and cruel to her.

The ending.....I really hope it's not how it seems but really need book 3 now!

Wow this book is enjoying and getting. A look into human trafficking/enslavement and what one woman has to ensure.

Jane (not her real name) is Vietnamese woman and a slave to a farmer named Lenn. He's a cruel man... Burns her already few possessions for infractions/slights to him. Every month, for one week.... She gets a room to herself. Then it's back in his bed.

When she falls pregnant and ge8t daughter Huong arrives, she vows that her daughter is here and hers alone and will not let Lenn have power over her.

When a second woman is captured and brought to the farm- Jane finally sees a chance to change her life.

This was so sad. It gave me feelings of claustrophobia as most of the story takes place in a small house. I feel every fear Jane did.

This coming of age story of Eli and Delia is sweet, sad, moving, and beautiful.

Delia is protective of Eli when they are young and am accident makes him a target for bikes. Eli is protective of Delia when they are teenagers and warns her away from boys that might take advantage of her.

Eli and Delia, being first cousins, fall in love somewhere along the way. Knowing what can happen, they never act on anything (much).

There are a few moments when reading, I had to put down the book and mourn a bit. Eli did not deserve what happens to him.

I still love book 1 more (there is more steam there I thought) but this was pretty good.

Anamaria is Luis's (from the first book) sister. She is a part time firefighter with her dad and brothers. She also has a fitness/nutrition business that's she trying to take into the big time with the help of her (almost) sister in law Sara.

Her ex Alejandro comes home after all accident while doing his job as a photographer. He left Anamaria brokenhearted in Key West as he chased his dream. He's on the outs with his father.
Complete with interfering Cuban mamas, can Ana and Ale find their way back to each other?

This was fun. I love how descriptive things in the book are. Felt like I was right there in Key West with them all. Anamaria is a take no nonsense woman. I love how self assured she is.

Very well written book that will pull at your heartstrings and make you want to grab Duchess and Robin and hug them tight!

This is a very character driven novel. But I feel most people will fall in love with everyone in here. There's a mystery throughout that will come together at the end with some surprises. I cried at the end as Duchess does the ultimate sacrifice for her brother.

I just love Duchess-the self proclaimed outlaw. She's a funny, loyal, bad mouthed, girl with a heart of gold. She takes very good care of her brother after losing their mother.

Walk is a great man. He does what he needs to do to look out for Duchess and Robin. He has some struggles and tries to do what he thinks is best even when it may not always be right.

Hal may not have been the best dad to his daughter, Star (the kid's mom), but I believe he loves Duchess and Robin fiercely... Even though Duchess tries not to show herself softening towards him.

This book will definitely stay with me for awhile. It's not fast paced but really good at it's core.

I love Maya and Benjamin "Law" . They love to bicker, roll their eyes at each other, and all the fun things "enemies" do.

Maya runs the local community theater and she's good at it, but she's also on the brink of financial problems that could close the theater.

Benjamin had run his family's bar for a long time but he's thinking of expanding and opening up a restaurant.

If you have read this series, you know the older generation- the matchmakers will get involved in their lives. They come up with a grant that will go to one winner and Maya and Benjamin both want it. So begins a war of sorts.

I love the old people. They are so good at their matchmaking and you just know how it's going to end. I love the "when will they?!" thoughts you get while reading and when you get there..... There is some heat that's also very sweet.
