Very well written book that will pull at your heartstrings and make you want to grab Duchess and Robin and hug them tight!

This is a very character driven novel. But I feel most people will fall in love with everyone in here. There's a mystery throughout that will come together at the end with some surprises. I cried at the end as Duchess does the ultimate sacrifice for her brother.

I just love Duchess-the self proclaimed outlaw. She's a funny, loyal, bad mouthed, girl with a heart of gold. She takes very good care of her brother after losing their mother.

Walk is a great man. He does what he needs to do to look out for Duchess and Robin. He has some struggles and tries to do what he thinks is best even when it may not always be right.

Hal may not have been the best dad to his daughter, Star (the kid's mom), but I believe he loves Duchess and Robin fiercely... Even though Duchess tries not to show herself softening towards him.

This book will definitely stay with me for awhile. It's not fast paced but really good at it's core.
