I always have a bit of trouble with seconds in series. This was a huge book and I felt they much wasn't happening.... Until closer to the end of the book when they start bringing Katie on missions.

I still like Katie a lot. She just tries so hard to fight against The Academy. I love how fiercely she loves her brother and won't leave him... Which is why I had a hard time when she got to see Pete for a bit.

Ranger is still much of a jerk I feel so bad that Katie has to be "babysat" by him. He's just so mean and cruel to her.

The ending.....I really hope it's not how it seems but really need book 3 now!
