TW: homophobia, transphobia, racism, sexual assault and a few others
This book is serious in nature and covers topics of what transgender people go through and how others treat them. If this is sensitive material for you, please read with caution if you choose to do so!‼️
I read this book for Literary Leagues February pick! This is one of the book clubs that I stick with and challenge myself to read the book no matter what it is since they pick very diverse and thought provoking books! Thanks @booklanguage and Literary League Team!!

PLEASE READ THIS BOOK!!
‼️TW: racism, gun violence, police brutality , death and racial slurs.
Wow wow wow! If you’re looking for a short, powerful, emotional book about race and privilege - pick up this book!!
I read this book in one day because I couldn’t put it down. It left me feeling broken and asking what I can do to prevent this and how I can be an ally to others!
A few book friends recommend this book and I was hesitant going into it because of how powerful they said it was and they were right. I’m so glad I read

Thank you @uplitreads and @rebeccabruff.author for this book! #troublethewater #gifted
What an incredible book and I can not believe it’s the authors debut novel! The writing style is so captivating that I read this book in 1 day! The chapters are short (which I love) and brought us to different time periods (that a few times were confusing) but left me wanting to know the ending!!
After seeing the Uplitreads campaign for this book and watching the interview with the author, I knew I’d really enjoy this historical fiction book!
This book is historical fiction although Robert Smalls was a real person and I was fascinated with his life and how brave he was!!
I can’t wait to read whatever Rebecca Dwight Bruff writes next

There are major trigger warnings in this book so please be mindful of that, a few are, sexual assault, gun violence, bullying and affairs (please reach out to me for the full list)!‼️
S.J. Sylvis did it again, wrote an amazing, heart wrenching, emotional book I couldn’t put down! I’m at a loss for words for the way the author makes me love the characters so much and feel there joy and pain so deeply!❤️
The third book in this series (English Prep Series) follows Eric and Madeline who grew up being friends and had a falling out and we learn why and if they can move past it! The steam is so strong in this book and talk about book boyfriends.
There are so many plot twists that I didn’t see coming and it left me so thankful for an epilogue as I’m a sucker for a good ending without cliff hangers!
I literally can not wait to read anything else S.J. Sylvis writes and I am ready for more high school mature adult books from her!!

TW: deportation, violence, talks of cartel, family separation and a juvenile jail
Wow wow wow - this book is remarkable, powerful and incredibly emotional! Infinite Country is a shorter book with only 191 pages but it took me longer than I thought it would to read because of its depth and beautiful writing!
You will not regret reading this book and I highly encourage you to move it up on your tbr list!
This books follows a family through the emotions of deportation and whether they will ever be able to live together again. I am in awe of the way the author wrote these characters and I can’t wait to read whatever she writes next!!

Happy pub day!! Thank you @netgalley and @randomhouse for this arc!
This book was such a delight! I felt like I escaped to Paris and enjoyed the sights and food just as Mia did ❤️
Sweet seventeen year old Mia grew up as a ballerina and spending all her time in ballet studios. When she gets the opportunity to go to Paris for the summer to participate in one of the most prestigious ballet schools, she’s delighted and all her focus is on ballet...until she meets Louis.
