TW: dealt, poison, talks about sexual assault and adultly
This book was not like anything I’d read before and I really enjoyed it! I read this book in just a few days and loved the characters.
I heard the author speak at a virtual author event with Literature Lovers Night out with @valleybookseller and after hearing the plot, I knew I had to read this book ✨
The Lost Apothecary is a dual timeline book set in 1791 London and present day London. The 1791 timeline follows Nella (the apothecary) that secretly dispenses poisons to women to be given to men who has wronged them. Nella meets her newest customer Eliza who becomes her partner and they journey through some challenging days after that.
The other timeline is present day where aspiring historian Caroline is spending her tenth wedding anniversary alone because she recently found out her husband cheated on her. Caroline is mudlarking when she finds clues to the 1790s apothecary!

TW: death dust bowl scenes, child in hospital and talks of slavery
This book!! Wow wow wow! Please tell me I’m not the only one that has been emotionally victimized by Kristin Hannah’s incredible book!?
If you enjoy historical fiction, strong female characters, emotional books and character driven books, this one is for you!!

TW: murder and cheating
This book was unbelievably entertaining and I love listening to it!!
I don’t usually read mystery books but I’m so glad I picked this one up! This book is so well written, smart, funny and something so new!
Finlay is a stressed out, single mom who is trying to write a new suspense novel. When she meets her agent for lunch, she is overheard talking about the plot of her next book and someone nearby wants her to murder someone for her. The story follows Finlay’s mishaps and crazy circumstances and I was very entertained!
This book had so many laugh out loud moments, went very fast and left me wanting to know what happens next!!

Eve Brown is the youngest of the Brown sisters and I thoroughly enjoyed her story! She is blunt, determined, curious and so entertaining! Eve made me laugh out loud and I was rooting from her from the beginning.
It was fun to see her enemies to lovers relationship with Jacob blossom and watch them learn from each other. Jacob is such a tough character and I enjoyed watching Eve help him break through his touch shell and show his true colors.
This book was awesome on audiobook but since this is a Talia Hibbert book, there is steam so make sure you aren’t driving into your work parking lot during the steamy parts like I accidentally did.
I’m sad the series is over but it ended well and I’m excited to read more by Talia Hibbert!

I flew through this book in one day and really liked it! It grabbed my attention from the beginning and left me wanting to know how the ending would turn out. This enemies to lovers, single mom and fake relationship book was so easy to follow and had many twists and turns too.
This book reminded me of R.S. Grey books but with less steam. The last few books I've read by Christina Lauren weren't my favorite so I'm glad this one could redeem their writing style for me.
Jess is a fantastic main character and her friendship with Fizzy, her daughter and her grandparents, made me smile and so happy for the joys in her life. River is mysterious, loyal and so supportive and I'm glad his walls were broken down throughout the book.
The concept of this book, DNA testing to find out someone's compatibility to one another is very creative and intriguing to read about!
If you enjoy these troupes, you'd enjoy this book!!

Book Review: To Love and to Loathe
3/5
I flew through this book! It was fast paced, intriguing and enjoyable. This book makes me want to read classics and the first one by this author.
What I loved:
-the characters; their banter and chemistry
-the setting, what a fun era to read about!
What I didn't love:
-this book was a bit too long for what they were trying to accomplish.
-the majority of the main characters problems would've been resolved if they would've talked to each other more.
If you love classics, twists on classics, books set in the 1800's and enemies to lovers, you'd enjoy this book!

🌸Book Review: One Two Three✨
Trigger Warning: childhood disabilities, talks of cancer and emotional distress
I listened to this book from my library (yay - thank you overdrive)! The narrator was amazing and so entertaining!
I choose this book knowing nothing about it and I’m so so glad I did! The story is impactful, original, entertaining and compelling. 💛
This book is set in a fictional town where we meet the Mitchell triplets: Mab (one), Monday (two), and Mirabel (three). 17 years ago their community water supply was poisoned and the people in this town have been paying the price ever since. The triplets mother, Nora has been fighting for justice ever since. A new family moves back to town and the communities wounds are exposed leaving the triplets to hand together and save their town!
One Two Three is very compelling because the town is full of disabled people either from birth defects or as a result of the chemical plant. There were parts where I had to stop and take it all in.
You’d enjoy this book if you love compelling stories, family drama, small town stories and books told from multiple perspectives! 👏🏻

Trigger Warning: eating disorders, cancer, anorexia, body image, cheating

This funny and emotional story is about two estranged sisters switching places and committing insurance fraud to save one of their lives. They suddenly have to learn how to live together and understand each other’s lives.
What I loved:
•the characters- they were amazing, relatable and so enjoyable to hear about
•the setting, I especially love books in NYC so this was fun to read about
What I didn’t love:
•parts of this book jumped around a bit especially as an audiobook

☠️Book Review: Arsenic and Adobo 🥥
Trigger Warnings: use of poison, death, talks of assault
What I liked:
✨The characters were entertaining and I loved learning about the Phillipino culture
✨Cozy Mysteries ❤️
✨Short chapters and the great ending
What I didn’t like:
✨There were so many characters that unfortunately we didn’t learn a ton about any
✨The ending came out of nowhere and didn’t give us many clues
