What an invigorating, fast paced book that drew me in from the first page to the last sentence! I didn’t know much about this book going into it and I’m glad I read it. Big Summer tackles so many heavy topics but adds humor and mystery and pop culture into the story. I loved the characters, setting and lessons that were taught in this book. The friendship between the female characters made me thankful for the friends I have and for this amazing community! Now I want to go read more books by Jennifer Weiner and I’ll for sure read whatever she writes next.
Since May is Mental Health Awareness month, I'm challenging myself to read more books with characters that have mental illness or mental illness is talked about in the book.
.
First up is Separation Anxiety! I listened to this book and enjoyed it. It had it's slow parts but the main character obviously (by the title) had separation anxiety and the husband had anxiety. This book also talked about depression, grief and cancer.

This book was quirky, brought light to some harder topics and kept me entertained. This book is fairly short and I enjoyed the odd chapter titles too.

I'm glad I listened to this book and am excited to read more like to.

This book was a solid ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 for me! I loved that it was set in NYC, specifically Grand Central Station. I visited Grand Central station 5 years ago and kept picturing it in this book! I really liked the characters and their development throughout the book and It was great discussing this book with the #bookishladiesgotbacklist group 2!

Some parts of this book were slower for me but I still enjoyed when it picked back up again. This is a great historical fiction book with a bit of magical realism ⌛️✨

Let me first start by saying Ruth Bader Ginsburg is a powerhouse and an unstoppable woman!
Wow, this book was good! Some parts were a little hard for me to grasp like the day US was invaded but I still enjoyed it. This book is also written in days rather than chapters which is unique but worked for this topic. I found myself wishing it was longer to find out what happened after. My heart broke for the characters and I am compelled to find out more on this issue that is very relevant today. I would recommend this book to readers that want to be moved and open their eyes to what is still happening in the world today. The story of refugees and what they go through is shown well through Browns book!

I really liked this book, the first half was a little slow but the second half made up for it! June grows so much throughout the few months and learns who she truly is. I loved her character! It was also really cool to learn about the city and what part they had in the war. I would recommend this to readers who love historical fiction!
I was not expecting to love this book as much as I did! Such a good rom com with such great characters development! This book has been sitting on my shelf for a while and I’m so glad I read it finally. I even woke up early today just to finish it. Love starting a month with a 5 star read!
This book was good! I really liked learning about these brides and how so much of their lives changed throughout this journey. I was confused as to what was happening or which woman they were talking about at some points but it was nice to have Ash in my buddy read help me! This book did help me like historical fiction even more. This was my first Jojo Moyes book and I can’t wait to read more of hers!
I absolutely loved this book! •
This book is a fast read from a public librarians point of view. A collection of crazy, interesting and hilarious stories from her interactions. •
I would highly recommend this book! I make my weekly trips to the library and I love the friendliness of the workers and just the atmosphere of the public library. This book made me laugh and smile and I will definitely reread it. I would love to volunteer or work at the public library someday ❤️
